Animals Have Innate Sense Of Humility, Compassion And Fairness, Says Scientist

You’ve probably heard it about a thousand times. People telling you that if you don’t conform to one belief system over another that your sense of morality is skewed. You’ve probably heard people say that animals don’t think like we do, and that they have no sense of morality either. An individual’s gut may tell them so, but science is painting a different picture.

According to Researcher Frans de Waal, animals absolutely do have a natural sense of humility, fairness and compassion. It’s the same instinctual drive that inspires us to be good, decent, caring people. Unfortunately, centuries of promoting narcissism, green and self-interest has made these qualities more difficult to find in humanity.

The above TED Talk is a fascinating one to watch. We learned a lot from it. You might too.

US & UK Elite Accused of Having Ring of Under-Age Sex Slaves

The boss of a hot New York modeling agency supplied Jeffery Epstein with underage girls for an orgy with Prince Andrew, court documents claim.

Jean Luc Brunel — credited with discovering Christy Turlington, Milla Jovovich and other famous faces — is accused of recruiting aspiring young models for sex with his powerful pals, The Times of London reported on Friday.

Epstein — who allegedly pimped out 17-year-old “sex slave” Virginia Roberts from 1999 to 2002 — brought teenage girls to his private Caribbean island and ordered them to have sex with Prince Andrew, a lawsuit claims.

There, the fashion-industry honcho staged a topless photo shoot with young models from Russia, Roberts told the Daily Mail.

Brunel scored US passports for girls as young as 12 — then passed the minors off to pervy pals like Epstein, according to court documents.

Awakening the Third Eye – Be Careful What You Wish For

Gregg Prescott, In5D Guest
Waking Times

Have you ever heard the expression, ‘Be careful what you wish for’? For some people, the opening of the 3rd eye can show them things that they really didn’t want to see.  For others, it’s a journey of enlightenment. If you are sure that this is something you want to do, then please read on.

According to wiki, the third eye (also known as the inner eye) is a mystical and esoteric concept referring to a speculative invisible eye which provides perception beyond ordinary sight. In certain dharmic spiritual traditions such as Hinduism, the third eye refers to the ajna, or brow, chakra. The third eye is referred to the gate that leads within to inner realms and spaces of higher consciousness. In New Age spirituality, the third eye often symbolizes a state of enlightenment or the evocation of mental images having deeply personal spiritual or psychological significance. The third eye is often associated with religious visions, clairvoyance, the ability to observe chakras and auras, precognition, and out-of-body experiences. People who are claimed to have the capacity to utilize their third eyes are sometimes known as seers.

Hidden in ‘Plain Sight’

Julian Wash, Contributor
Waking Times

Today I wish to return to your awareness an aspect of the Human condition that very few will ever consider. It is a state of awareness that escapes even the most astute observer because it’s hidden in plain sight, or perhaps it’s the “plain sight” that’s hidden. So for the purpose of clarity and proper orientation, please allow me to present this “aspect” in the more malleable form of a question.

Do You See In – Or Do You See Out?

To philosophers and shamans this remains a very old and salient postulate. I sense this question will appeal and resonate with the awakening mind and to those who are curious by nature...

The Measure of Greatness?

Open, Contributor
Waking Times

What does it mean to be truly great? Is greatness in all of us, or just the ‘chosen few’? What does greatness have to do – if anything – with fame, fortune and popularity? Greatness is something that’s has always intrigued me. And even though there’s a heavy dose of surrendering acceptance in the nature of my soul, when I open an internal space, something pretty often arises all by itself – a striving to learn, explore, evolve and grow. It’s a passion and commitment to evolutionary change. There’s no struggle in this, but there’s absolute determination and will. It feels totally spiritual to me. Does this bear any relation to greatness? Is it in you, and if so, what might you do to unleash it?…

How to Harness the Incredible Healing Power of Acceptance

HJ: If the only spiritual principle you mastered in this lifetime was acceptance, you could consider this a life well lived.  To put it quite simply, acceptance, in a sense, is one of the principle keys to enlightenment.  And the beauty of it is that the more steadfastly you practice it, the better your life gets (in realtime).

Acceptance: The Aboriginal Path to Healing

By Robbie Holz | Holz Wellness

acceptitalleckhart

I sat in the firelight of three huge bonfires and watched the Aboriginal women dancing to the sound of their clacking sticks and chanting. I had been honored with an invitation to participate in ceremonies with Aboriginal women in the Australian Outback near Uluru . . . and the desert had been tormenting me for days.

New Study: Marijuana Compound Found To Prevent Blindness

Source: www.naturalsociety.com | Original Post Date: May 4, 2014 –

new-study-marijuana-compound-found-to-prevent-blindness

Among the many benefits of marijuana, such as its ability to inhibit cancer growth and halt seizures, the treatment of glaucoma has been long-standing and widely accepted. Well, a new study indicates the herb could also work to prevent blindness from another eye disease—retinitis pigmentosa.

Retinitis pigmentosa is a condition that destroys the light sensors of the eye. This degenerative condition acts on the millions of microscopic photoreceptors and can lead to blindness. Currently, there is no known solution. But in this most recent study, researchers made headway in establishing cannabis as a potential treatment.

Self-inflicted Mythology: The Power of Creating Our Own Myths

“The old gods are dead or dying and people everywhere are searching, asking: What is the new mythology to be, the mythology of this unified earth as of one harmonious being?” –Joseph Campbell

All of life is a meditation, whether we are aware of it or not. Put even more succinctly, life is a meditative mythology. We are, each of us, walking, talking myth-machines going through the motions of our mythological projections. In any given culture, we are the hardware, and mythology is the software.

We are naturally creatures of myth. It’s a human need to be told stories, and to tell them. Joseph Campbell described mythology as having four basic functions: the Mystical Function: experiencing the awe of the universe; the Cosmological Function: explaining the shape and image of the universe; the Sociological Function: supporting and validating a certain social order; and the Psychological (pedagogical) Function: how to live a human lifetime under any circumstances.

Why Bad Things Happen at Good Times

By Nanice Ellis

Contributing Writer for Wake Up World

Life is going great. You are on top of the world. Things couldn’t be better! Then BOOM! You get sick, have an accident or some unexpected crisis comes to the forefront, bringing the “good times” come to a screeching halt. It makes no sense – you were doing everything right.

These events can leave us feeling insecure and doubting our ability to maintain a happy and healthy life. You might even start wondering if every great high has a corresponding low. Trying to make sense of things in this way often takes us on a negative downward spiral that gets us more of what we don’t want.

So, let’s rise above the negative and turn it all around.

Decrease Fear, Increase Love: Day 130, Oc 13

DECREASE FEAR, INCREASE LOVE   In order to conquer your fears, you must face them. Just as a bully often backs off when his target steps up to him, your fears will dwindle and back off when you boldly confront them. Changing the behaviors that kept the fears intact also requires effort and courage, for this is your public statement that you are changing something inside yourself that no longer serves you. You may be encouraged by some and ridiculed by others, but stand fast to your truth and press forward.

Your love will exponentially increase with each fear you release, for you cannot hold on to both at the same time. If you are having an issue with a loved one and harboring anger, hate or frustration, you will block the flow of love. Although some love may filter through, when your time together is going well, the flow is still constricted due to the lower frequencies still targeted towards that person.

Others around you will be operating on their own fear-based foundations. Thus, when you react to something that is triggered within you, they in turn will react to something you said or did that triggered an unresolved issue in their life. Thus, wars are waged in the schoolyard, the bedroom and boardroom. When each of you individually faces your fears and feelings of inferiority and overcomes them, you will begin to have functioning relationships.
