The Blue of the Sky and the Blue of the Ocean

Yes, I am the Big Love of Your Life. It is to Me that you seemingly bow down and give allegiance. I lead you to Me, and that’s how you want it. There is no one to give you away to Me. There is no hand for you to take but Mine. I give you My hand freely. There is no one else to bind us or to announce that We are One Singular One of Love.

As I tell you this, you look around to see Who spoke, and you see no one else in the room. Only you. You cannot pinpoint Me, yet you sense that I am in the room with you as My Very Self.

You cannot speak or see the logic and logistics of an unseen God. What logic is there in the Blue of the Sky or in the Blue of the Ocean? How did waves happen to come about? Of what importance are waves that just come and go? Of what importance are waves that wash the shore and leave shells for you to collect?

And yet everything is of the utmost importance because one thing is connected to every other, and everything swings around the world. Sometimes it feels to you that the world and your heart are the prey of vultures who swoop down. Yet, if you and I as One are the extent of the world, where can vultures and prey exist?

There is no world, yet it sure seems that there is a big world out there ready to take a swipe at seeming you and all the seeming others. And yet, beloveds, fear is only an idea.

“Is everything in the outer world just an idea?” you ask.

The fear comes to many people because you go back into a world to which you have always belonged and now you don't belong to it anymore. So you are going to a foreign country, as a stranger, to people who think that they know you. Now you know that they don't, but they will take it for granted that they know you. They will go on making contacts with your past, not with you. They will expect you to behave the way they think you should have behave, and you cannot behave that way. This whole situation creates a fear.

Fear is always felt at the stomach or at the throat. If it is felt at the stomach it has a certain quality.

If it is felt at the throat, it has a totally different quality. The fear that is felt at the throat is the fear of communication. It will be difficult for you now to communicate with people. When the fear is felt at the stomach it is fear of death.

If you go deep in meditation, the fear of death arises and that is felt just below the navel centre, at the hara, the death centre. If you are going to communicate, the fear will be felt at the throat because the throat is the centre of expression, communication, relating. When fear arises in relationship to love, it is at the throat, because the child receives love for the first time from the mother through the throat centre. That is his first contact with the world. Mother's breast is his first contact, first relationship, and that is through the throat centre. That's why Freudians call small children 'oral'. That is the oral state of their mind. Whenever you are getting something or giving something, it passes through the throat centre.

2015 Cancer Full Moon – Astrology Forecast

by Kathy Biehl

January 4-5, 2015

8:53 PM PST / 11:53 PM EST /  4:53 AM GMT

14 Cancer 30 / 14 Capricorn 30

The Cancer Full Moon, the first Full Moon of 2015 reawakens the most challenging energies of 2014 and reveals how far we’ve come.

Even if you’re faring well, the reveal promises discomfort and, ultimately, growth. Although Cancer is the sign of nesting, clucking and kissing booboos to make them better, we are more likely to be craving all that, rather than experiencing it.

The Cancer Full Moon stirs fundamental questions that have plagued us on and off for six years, and most pointedly since last April: How safe, nourished and nurtured do you feel? Do you feel at home in your skin? In the world? How? Where? What role do your relationships play in all your answers?

Indian Government Orders Internet Providers To Block Vimeo, GitHub, 30 Other Websites

indian-government-orders-internet-providers-to-block-vimeo-github-30-other-websites

Censorship laws recently allowed the government of India to request that the country’s ISPs (internet service providers) block access to Vimeo, GitHub, and about 30 other large websites.

The government of India has a relatively long history of trying to censor content and websites that goes against the wishes of the state,  possibly comparable to China. However, even the Chinese government ended up allowing GitHub to function.

Pranesh Pakesh, a director at Bangalore’s Centre for Internet and Society publicly released a list of the websites the Indian government asked ISP’s to block, effectively doing his significant part to ensure that his area remain free of censorship, corruption, overbearing laws, and exploitation.

Negativity and Staying Centered

Written by Wes Annac, The Culture of Awareness

We aren’t the only ones who go through hard times, and everyone has their struggles in life. We’re all trying to get by in this crazy world, and it helps to detach from any stress or pressure we’ve put on ourselves or the people in our lives.

Things get easier when we realize that everyone’s doing their best from their level of consciousness, and even people we think are ‘negative’ are trying their best to get through life with the greatest degree of happiness and wholeness they can attain.

It’s understandable to feel like this world should live up to the standards we strive to live up to. It’s easy to convince ourselves we should be treated a certain way by others, but we’re bound to be unhappy if we follow this mindset.

As hard as it can be, decreasing our mind-driven attachment to the world will help us flow with everything we experience – the good and the bad. It’ll be easier to forgive...

On Reason & Passion

And the priestess spoke again and said:
“Speak to us of Reason and Passion.”
And he answered saying:
Your soul is oftentimes a battlefield, upon which your reason and your judgment wage war against passion and your appetite.
Would that I could be the peacemaker in your soul, that I might turn the discord and the rivalry of your elements into oneness and melody.
But how shall I, unless you yourselves be also the peacemakers, nay, the lovers of all your elements?
Your reason and your passion are the rudder and the sails of your seafaring soul.
If either your sails or our rudder be broken, you can but toss and drift, or else be held at a standstill in mid-seas.

Finite and Infinite Lovers: Changing the Game of Love

grunge_road_sign__infinite_love_limit_sjpg3041

“True love is the complete victory of the particular over the general, and the unconditional over the conditional.” – Naseem Nicholas Taleb

We are all scientists, trying to make sense of the love inside us. Most things exist along a rollercoaster ride of degrees. So it is also with love. Our definitions of love are not as black and white as we’d like them to be, they’re ambiguously gray and often imprecise. The border around our idea of love is mostly an illusion, permeable and ever-changing; more like a horizon than a boundary. There are, after all, over seven billion of us on this planet, and we each have our own unique psycho-physiological perception of what love means.

Arizona Bill Would Legalize Marijuana, Nullify Federal Prohibition

A bill filed last week in Arizona would authorize marijuana to be taxed and regulated similar to alcohol, legalizing the plant, and effectively nullifying the unconstitutional federal prohibition on the same.

House Bill 2007 (HB2007) was prefiled by State Rep. Mark Cardenas (D-Phoenix). If passed, people aged 21 and older may “possess, consume, use, display, purchase or transport marijuana accessories or one ounce or less of marijuana.” They would also be allowed to “possess, grow, process or transport not more than five marijuana plants and the marijuana produced by the plants on the premises where the plants were grown, transfer one ounce or less of marijuana and not more than five immature marijuana plants to a person who is at least twenty-one years of age without remuneration,” and “assist another person who is at least twenty-one years of age in any of the acts described” previously in this portion of the bill.

Anatomy of the Deep State

There is the visible government situated around the Mall in Washington, and then there is another, more shadowy, more indefinable government that is not explained in Civics 101 or observable to tourists at the White House or the Capitol. The former is traditional Washington partisan politics: the tip of the iceberg that a public watching C-SPAN sees daily and which is theoretically controllable via elections. The subsurface part of the iceberg I shall call the Deep State, which operates according to its own compass heading regardless of who is formally in power.

During the last five years, the news media has been flooded with pundits decrying the broken politics of Washington. The conventional wisdom has it that partisan gridlock and dysfunction have become the new normal. That is certainly the case, and I have been among the harshest critics of this development. But it is also imperative to acknowledge the limits of this critique as it applies to the American governmental system. On one level, the critique is self-evident: In the domain that the public can see, Congress is hopelessly deadlocked in the worst manner since the 1850s, the violently rancorous decade preceding the Civil War.
