The Myth of Only 5 Senses

will's picture

It's strange that in our modern age will still teach about the "5 senses", as if sight, smell, hearing, taste and touch (pressure) is all that we can sense. How do we tell if something is hot or cold? So sensing temperature brings us up to 6 senses. How about when you need to go to the bathroom (there 2 more senses), how can you tell which way is up (9 senses so far), how can you sense pain? So there's 10 senses I've counted already, and that's not even a complete list. Perhaps it's sensory overload that makes people want to believe there's only 5 senses?

There's also a whole lot that happens subconsciously with our senses that we're only recently discovering collectively. It was just discovered that skin can smell. We can communicate with each other through subtle odors called pheromones. It was also recently discovered that the human brain responds to changes in magnetic fields, but mainstream science has been very resistant to this idea so far.

Then there's the empathic sense, how we can tell what another person is feeling. It's often considered a psychic sense, but even for people out of touch with the Oneness they share with all life, you can still pick up on how another person is feeling through their body language, facial expressions and tone of voice. This is a very important sense to be conscious of, since it's easy to take on another person's emotions. Fear can spread like a virus, but then again, so can Love.

Displacing the Matrix and the Power of Spiritual Cymatics

Displacing the Matrix and the Power of Spiritual Cymatics

I had an extremely inspiring conversation with a beautiful soul today about the awakening and how we can be the most effective in facilitating it. In the course of our exchange, while sharing ideas about how to go about creating practical applications, many analogies and perceptions came to mind.

As anyone who reads my articles knows, I am all over the shift into awakening that is now being birthed, and the empowerment available to anyone who is willing to tune into it. It’s not evident to all, as the fixation on the crumbling matrix and growth of the parasitic police state seems to captivate most people’s attention. But it is the dead and dying stump of the old paradigm in the forest of the world. It blocks out people’s vision, as it’s designed to do.

The Difference Between Judgment and Discernment

He cheated on his wife with a much younger employee. She abandoned her newborn baby. He drinks until he beats his children. She manipulates her feminine wiles to get what she wants from men. He took their hard-earned money and then squandered it for selfish motives. She killed him. He raped her. She sells her body for money. He heads up a sex trafficking ring. She molests children. He sells drugs to teenagers…

You might judge all of these people, labeling them as “immoral” or “wrong”. But as I described in my recent article Are You “Spiritual But Not Religious?”, I think spirituality is largely about choosing to withhold judgment, trusting that everyone’s soul is on its own journey, learning what it’s here to learn (and teach), and everyone is entitled to their own journey.

I’m in no way condoning such behaviors, but what if, instead of your judgment, you could perceive these individuals as suffering beings and offer them your love and compassion instead? What if Reverend John Watson was right when he said, “Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle?” What if we all grew our empathy muscles instead of judging?

When Acceptance Is The Only Choice

“God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; the courage to change the things I can; and the wisdom to know the difference. “ ~Serenity Prayer~

We all find ourselves overwhelmed at times by situations that we have no control over; situations that we cannot change no matter how hard we try or what we do.

We all have difficulty accepting situations that are not the way we wish they would be. This difficulty manifests itself in feelings of frustration, anger, jealousy and regrets. These negative feelings interfere with our day to day peace of mind. They prevent us from forgetting or forgiving that which is well beyond our control. They impact our ability to move forward.

Daily Message ~ Sunday November 16, 2014

There is a sweet relief that comes with surrender. Many of you feel like it is a terrifying sensation. Nothing could be further than the truth!

If you are feeling panicked by the idea of surrender, it is because you are attempting to move into accelerated movement while still in fear, doubt and resistance. Of course, trying to find forward movement and resisting at the same time is going to cause discomfort! Trying to find comfort in fast moving energies without faith is going to be very difficult, as well.

But surrender, true surrender, with your whole heart and full faith, is one of the most delicious and profound things you can ever do as a human being. It is open-heartedly falling into the loving embrace of the universe, and from that action, the magic, and the transformation, begins. ~Archangel Gabriel

Breaking Update: 13,000 Contested Ballots for GMO Labeling Measure in Oregon

Mike Barrett, Natural Society

Numerous media outlets have are reporting that the GMO labeling efforts in Oregon and Colorado have both failed. Though while the Colorado initiative did in fact fail with only 34.29% support, the Oregon measure is actually still alive. That’s right, through 13,000 contested votes and 15,000 uncounted, the GMO labeling measure in Oregon still has a chance.

Oregon’s GMO labeling Measure 92 was originally reported defeated thanks to Monsanto’s onslaught of more than $22 million dollars in negative ads. But contrary to these reports, it isn’t quite over. Right now about 6,000 votes separate us from winning Yes on 92!

Oregon Secretary of State’s office recently reported that that there were 13,000 contested ballots outstanding that we now have a chance to chase down to find out how the voter intended to vote.

Sioux Tribe Declares Approval of Keystone XL Pipeline an Act of War

will's picture

Rosebud, SD – In response to today’s vote in the U.S. House of Representatives to authorize the Keystone XL tar sands pipeline, the Rosebud Sioux Tribal President announced that the Rosebud Sioux Tribe (Sicangu Lakota Oyate) recognizes the authorization of this pipeline as an act of war.

The Tribe has done its part to remain peaceful in its dealings with the United States in this matter, in spite of the fact that the Rosebud Sioux Tribe has yet to be properly consulted on the project, which would cross through Tribal land, and the concerns brought to the Department of Interior and to the Department of State have yet to be addressed.

“The House has now signed our death warrants and the death warrants of our children and grandchildren. The Rosebud Sioux Tribe will not allow this pipeline through our lands,” said President Scott of the Rosebud Sioux Tribe. “We are outraged at the lack of intergovernmental cooperation. We are a sovereign nation and we are not being treated as such. We will close our reservation borders to Keystone XL. Authorizing Keystone XL is an act of war against our people.”

You Would Lead Your Life Differently Now

Your life is where you are. You take yourself with you wherever you go. You, yourself, are the sum total of your life. Your consciousness is what your life is about. Your awareness and vision – your life is about these. Certainly, what occurs in life affects you, yet you are the decider of how it affects you. Your life is about you, and how you respond to what occurs. Therefore, I say that your life is all about you.

Your life isn’t dependent upon what happens to you. Your life depends upon how you see what happens, for as you perceive, you respond. You draw the pictures of your life by the conclusions you draw. The conclusions you draw are the assumptions you make. It is not unheard of for you to conclude something that is not true. You made one thing of it when you could have made something else of it.

Your understanding is not infallible. You are the chef of your thoughts and reactions. You base your recipes for life on your construing of the facts.

This is only one good reason why it is better for you to refrain from judging. The story of your life is your putting two and two together, and it is easy to be mistaken. If you would deal differently with an earlier situation now, then you know you have seen amiss. Of course, you would lead your life differently now. You are a human being who learns and grows. No matter how you convince yourself at the time how right you are, the angle of light you look from changes.

Noting this change is all to the good. This is how you can see your growth.

Declassified Israeli cables add evidence USS Liberty no accident

What if another country openly attacked a U.S. Navy ship? You would think there would be mass outrage and talk of war, correct? Now what if the country doing the attacking was Israel? Well back in 1967 exactly that happened, and it appears the U.S. president himself helped to cover up the whole incident.

A Special Report by the Chicago Tribune details declassified cables, from the Israeli State Archive, which add further evidence that Israel knew it was attacking an American ship as it attacked the USS Liberty.

Last month, a new documentary broadcast a tape for the first time, of Israeli military transmissions during the attack, which established that the ship was confirmed to be U.S. by 2:14pm that day, local time. The timeline of the attack establishes that the attack continued for another hour after that time...

...the investigation was relegated to a U.S. Navy Court of Inquiry, presided over by Admiral John S. McCain, Jr., father of John McCain, the US senator and former presidential candidate. In 2003 the lead counsel for the Court, Captain Ward Boston, stepped forward to say that the Court had been ordered by President Lyndon B. Johnson and Secretary of Defense Robert McNamara to conclude that the attack had been a case of mistaken identity, "despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary." Captain Boston resigned from the Court before the inquiry was complete. He passed away in 2008.

Language creates problems. Language is always dualistic, language is always of this world. Language belongs to desire and it carries all the connotations, so it is very difficult to say anything about that which is not of this world. Either you have to be silent -- even then, silence too can be misunderstood -- or you have to use language. And every word is loaded.

Police expert: War on terror has turned our cops into occupying armies — and we’re the enemy

The war on terror has essentially turned police into occupying armies in some American communities, said a police and criminology expert.

Thomas Nolan, an associate professor of criminology at Merrimack College and former senior policy analyst with the Department of Homeland Security, said the focus of police work had shifted greatly since he was a Boston police officer in the 1980s and 1990s.

“I remember it being drilled into me as a police officer, as a sergeant and then as a lieutenant: partnership, problem-solving, and prevention – the three Ps,” Nolan said Wednesday during a panel sponsored by the American Constitution Society.

He said police were heavily trained to form alliances to help them to better serve and protect communities, and he said those relationships clearly don’t exist in Ferguson, Missouri.

While the war on drugs is frequently cited as a major factor in the breakdown of civil liberties and police-community relations, Nolan said a more recent shift was largely to blame.

World Death Rate Holding Steady At 100 Percent

Death rates since 1992

GENEVA, SWITZERLAND—World Health Organization officials expressed disappointment Monday at the group's finding that, despite the enormous efforts of doctors, rescue workers and other medical professionals worldwide, the global death rate remains constant at 100 percent.

Death, a metabolic affliction causing total shutdown of all life functions, has long been considered humanity's number one health concern. Responsible for 100 percent of all recorded fatalities worldwide, the condition has no cure.

"I was really hoping, what with all those new radiology treatments, rescue helicopters, aerobics TV shows and what have you, that we might at least make a dent in it this year," WHO Director General Dr. Gernst Bladt said. "Unfortunately, it would appear that the death rate remains constant and total, as it has inviolably since the dawn of time."
