Just How Much Pesticide are You Eating Everyday?

So How can GM Crops be Deemed ‘Safe?’

Bypassing the regular rhetoric proposed by GMO supporters that they are ‘substantially equivalent to non-GM crops,’ I’d like to offer another strain of inquiry. Putting the transgenic technology that has allowed most genetically modified crops to exist, aside, why don’t we look at something else that is perhaps even more alarming about continuing to plant genetically modified seed – like pesticides.

The fact is that over 99% of GMO acreage is engineered by chemical companies to tolerate heavy herbicide (glyphosate) use and/or produce insecticide (Bt) in every cell of every plant over the entire growing season. This alone should cause any level headed scientist or farmer to take note.

Release Time Constraints: Day 134, Ix 4

RELEASE TIME CONSTRAINTS  Many of you are feeling a quickening, as though there is no time to get things done, wondering where the hours went at the close of your day. There is a shattering of time as you begin to ascend to higher frequencies of vibration.

Time is relative to your interest in an activity, as well. All of you have experienced performing a chore that you disliked and it seemed to take forever. Yet, when you spent the same amount of time involved in a task that was of high interest, you exclaimed, “Where did the time go?” Each of you has within you the ability to warp time so it benefits you, without harming anyone else.

Many of you cannot wear watches, for they either stop or lose their ability to maintain correct time. When a person chooses to follow his intuition and allows himself to flow with what is happening around him, this belief code creates a higher frequency of love, which is the flow. What happens is that clocks and watches are jangled by this frequency and will not work properly. Have you noticed how those who live this way always seem to show up at places at the perfect time?

Following your intuition and gut feelings is your inner guidance leading you to experiences That you have set up through your prayers and requests. Hone your ability to recognize these pulls. Watch for synchronicities that occur when you release the constraints you place on your time and allow yourself to go with the flow. You will find yourself drawn to places you didn’t plan to go.

A Remarkable Day

There is only one day like today. There may be infinite days as seen in world time, and, even so, there will never be another day like today. Not the day itself nor your day within the day. There is not one person, not even one twin, identical to another. Furthermore, in every person, there is change whether you see it or not. Change is perpetual in the world. Change is inevitable. No two days are alike, no two people are alike, and no two days or two people stay exactly the same. Anyway, there is no real purpose in tracking the ways in which days and people stay the same nor is there value in tracking the ways days and people are different.

There are zillions of expressions of what a particular day in time and space is like. For one person, it is the happiest day of his life. For another, it’s the worst day. For someone else it was okay. On the same day, someone met his true love, and someone else lost his true love, and yet the day is just doing its thing, just there as a background, seemingly an obstacle to one, and to another, a benefactor. The days are innocent, beloved. And when you come down to it, so are you innocent, the seeming innocent bystander who relishes the day or rues it and finds it what he finds it.

There is your perception that you are life’s captive, yet you have everything to do with your life. Is the life you experience merely an opinion you have along the way as you walk across one day to another? This idea of your life being your opinion is worth pondering. We already know how your opinions may change right before your eyes.

Once you start learning how to choose the peaceful, a small room is enough; a small quantity of food is enough; a few clothes are enough; one lover, a very ordinary man, can be enough of a lover.

But if you go on asking for more and more, then thousands of men are not enough. Even the most beautiful man is finished sooner or later. Your desire goes on and on. It knows no end... it stops nowhere.

Scientists May Have Discovered A New Species Of Cannabis In Australia

Blue Mountain, NSW, Australia

Scientists at the University of Sydney have announced that they may have found another, what would be a fourth, species of cannabis in the Blue Mountains of Australia. The discovery took place back in 2010 when a group of hikers found a plant that resembled cannabis. From there, a series of tests were conducted on the plant that proved it to be cannabis.

“When we first received the plant, we were very skeptical about its relation to cannabis,” says researcher Christopher Pool. “It has somewhat similar growth structure but the leaves look nothing like cannabis leaves.”

But the results of the test showed that it was indeed cannabis, and that this species is resistant to freezing temperatures. The plant also grows more like a shrub than the archetypal candelabra shape of most cannabis strains.

More Good News For Anti-Monsanto Activists

Monsanto, the gigantic biotech corporation largely responsible for forcing GMO crops on consumers and farmers has taken a major hit as its earnings fell 34% in the last quarter of 2014. This is partially attributed to more farmers in South America rejecting their franken-crops and more people realizing the potential dangers of GMO crops.

Monsanto’s overall revenue fell more than 8% to $2.87 billion during the fourth quarter due to lower sales of corn and herbicides. Additionally, Monsanto shares have dropped 3% since the beginning of 2014, while the Standard & Poor’s 500 index climbed more than 8%.

This news adds to an already dim picture for Monsanto. The company has been at the center of major controversy over the use of its genetically modified seeds. Monsanto has also gained a ton of bad press for filing 145 lawsuits...

Finding the Motivation to Change Your Entire Life

By Leo Babauta | Zen Habits

changeessence

Almost exactly 8 years ago today, I ran my first marathon and soon after I started Zen Habits. I’d changed a dozen or so habits, lost weight, was getting out of debt, quit smoking.

And almost 7 years ago, I quit my job.

That was a period of intense and profoundly scary life changes for me, but they were all of my choosing...

The Earth is Everyone’s Responsibility

Written by Wes Annac, The Culture of Awareness

It becomes clear to anyone who looks around that we’re dealing with a unique situation here on earth.

We live on a beautiful planet that provides everything we could ever need and then some, and we humans aren’t the only ones here. We’re one out of thousands of sentient creatures who share this planet, and instead of using our evolutionary superiority to help our fellow species, we’ve practically dominated them into oblivion.

Our precious resources are in the hands of a small collective of rich, powerful and influential people who seem to tower over the rest of the world, and aware activists and organizations have strived to raise awareness of the crimes they commit on a daily basis.

The common person doesn’t seem to understand or care that we’re rapidly depleting our resources and destroying our environment, and the activist groups who try to raise awareness and make a change are usually treated unkindly by our mainstream culture.

Why We Get Stuck While Others Don't

At one time or another, we all of feel stuck. We’re in one place and we’d like to be in another. Whether that place is a different career, a different partner, or simply in a warmer climate, we all fantasize about the possibilities of what life could like if only things were different.

For the majority, that dream is where it ends.

For a smaller group, that dream makes them more unhappy about their current state.

For an even smaller group, that dream is what fuels them to create change.

So what makes some of us wallow while others take action?

It isn’t about time management, fears, or an IV drip of coffee. It’s about reframing how you look at it.  Here’s the simple, key difference:

When we are pissed that things don’t look the way we want, we tend to focus on “why.”

Teaching Children How to Think Instead of What to Think

Will Stanton, Guest
Waking Times

Right now our education system is doing more to indoctrinate our children than to educate them. In fact, that has been the case for quite some time. Our young minds are being told to accept authority as truth instead of truth as authority, and teachers talk at the students instead of with them.

Teachers have become repeaters of information. They are merely regurgitating everything they once learned from their own teachers, and perpetuating the recycling of information; information that has managed to evade scrutiny for generations. Children are no longer the masters of their own learning, and instead, their minds are being treated as storage containers.

The factory model of education, with its focus on academic and economic elitism, is churning out obedient workers for the system...

An Introduction to Kundalini

An Introduction to Kundalini Image by Ulyses on DeviantArt An Introduction to Kundalini

By Wes Annac

Guest Writer for Wake Up World

Let’s take a look at kundalini, which is essentially an evolutionary/energetic ‘boost’ we can gain with focused, meditative effort. As we’ll learn here, kundalini is referred to as an energetic ‘serpent’ because it’s coiled up in the root chakra, and it can be awakened and used to find a permanently blissful state of consciousness.

With focus and intention, we can actually uncoil it and bring it up through each chakra until it reaches and affects the crown. Those of us who are particularly passionate about meditation can meditate on our kundalini for hours on end, and if we do, we might just manually raise it and feel what full-on enlightenment is like.

There are a lot of benefits to awakening it, and a lot of setbacks if we aren’t prepared for what could result, and one should always be prepared for the unhindered spiritual perception that results from awakened kundalini.

Why Everyone Should be Eating More Hempseed

hemp seeds love hands 300x200 Why Everyone Should be Eating More Hempseed

By Carolanne Wright

Contributing Writer for Wake Up World

A group of centenarians in a Chinese village seem to have stumbled upon a veritable fountain of youth in the form of a well-known seed. Revered for their life expectancy of 100+ years, inhabitants of Bama Yao live in one of the few longevity hotspots of the world. Sharing similar characteristics with other long-lived people, residents of Bama Yao thrive on a nutrient-rich diet and enjoy a pristine environment. The secret to their exceptional life span, however, appears to be their high intake of hempseed.

Not surprisingly, hempseed is a nutritional powerhouse that is rich in many disease-fighting nutrients. Contained within this small seed are a range of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and healthy fats — including calcium, potassium, magnesium, sulfur and iron, as well as vitamins A, B, C, E and D. Brimming with omega-3 and -6 fatty acids, hempseed is one of the best foods we can eat for a sharp mind and robust cardiovascular health.

Giving and Receiving

My beautiful child, this is one of the most important lessons you will learn.  If you feel like giving then give all you want.  However, if you feel that you must give to receive something in return then it may not be a good idea to continue.  If you want to receive, then receive.  However, if you feel that receiving is tied to some condition then thank the person and gently refuse.  Compromising yourself or your beliefs for another hinders growth and breeds resentment….the very things you are choosing to release.  Listen to your heart, the truth is there and will always guide you in the proper direction. ~ Creator
