The British bank sees its sharpest one-day decline since 1988 after allegations of money laundering from the US.

Shares of Standard Chartered, the British bank that has come under scrutiny in New York for allegedly helping Iran launder money, fell by $12.5 billion on Tuesday, the Associated Press reported.

The drop represented almost 24 percent of the bank's stock value, The New York Times said. According to Bloomberg data, "it was the sharpest one-day decline in the bank’s shares since at least 1988," the Times wrote.

Barclays Plc (BARC), the U.K. bank fined a record amount for rigging global interest rates, is languishing at a cheaper valuation than 93 percent of its global competitors, fueling a debate about breaking up Britain’s second-biggest lender.

The shares trade at a 59 percent discount to book value, implying investors don’t agree that the bank’s holdings are worth as much as the London-based company says. That’s a lower price-to-book ratio than 141 financial firms listed in the 152-company Bloomberg World Banks Index, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. While Liberum Capital Ltd. says one hurdle to a breakup may be the investment bank’s ability to fund itself, Canaccord Financial Inc. says splitting up Barclays may almost double its market value of 22 billion pounds ($35 billion).

WASHINGTON — After deciding not to prosecute Goldman Sachs for its conduct during the financial crisis, the Justice Department did something rare: it publicly announced that the investigation was closed.

The unusual public announcement came after Goldman’s lawyers pushed for a notification that the bank would not be charged, according to two people with direct knowledge of the matter who spoke on condition of anonymity.

Five Amazing Healing Honey Facts

Honey, unlike almost everything else we consume in our diet, was intended solely to be a form of nourishment – albeit, for the bees.  Only milk, to my knowledge, shares this singular biological imperative. But honey is far more than a source of sweetness and quick energy within the human diet.

It has profound medicinal applications, some of which are as follows:

Feeds the good bacteria

It is a little-known fact that bees have a diverse population of beneficial lactic acid bacteria (LAB) in their honey crop, the bulge between the esophagus and the gizzard of the bee. In fact, according to newly published research in PLoS, “studies of LAB in all extant honeybee species plus related apid bees reveal one of the largest collections of novel species from the genera Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium ever discovered within a single insect and suggest a long (>80 mya) history of association.” [i]  Indeed, raw honey feeds good bacteria. It has been experimentally demonstrated in in vitro (petri dish) conditions to increase the number of Lactobacillus acidophilus and Lactobacillus plantarum counts 10-100 foldcompared with sucrose. [ii]

Most summers, the pastures are lush for Brent Gundy's Brangus cows in Walker, Mo., but he has been feeding them hay and now soybean bales to help them get through the high temperatures.

OTTUMWA, Iowa — Driving by a boat ramp one Saturday morning last month, a local man noticed some white spots on the Des Moines River. He stopped to have a look.

Turns out the spots were fish bellies. The undersides of dead sturgeon formed glistening constellations in the muddy brown water.

Melchizedek ~~ Allow the innovative to communicate ~~ 14/08/2012 by GLR Méline Lafont.

Beloved Ones,

Welcome to the new times of Glory and Wealth, of Joy and Love, of Harmony and companionship. This is what you all can come to expect now as these issues are coming into manifestation.  These energies and these changes are now welcomed by humanity at large, and they are here thanks to the countless innovative energetic climaxes that reach you now. Originating from this solar system in which you dwell as well as from the other galaxies, countless innovative light codes now come your way to this planet and to humanity in order to lift all to a higher vibration of Divine nature.

All vibrations and Light energies involved can cause heavy shifts and with some of them you already got acquainted. They are very intense and can cause a lot of damage on the inner self as well as on your outer world. Keep in mind that this is a reflection of all the negativity that was firmly anchored on your world and which only now has found its exit to leave, once and for all, the Earth and the collective of the human race. All those shifts and events are expressed as softly as possible according to the global level of humanity’s consciousness. In some cases tough confrontations are necessary, but even than they are reduced to the least destructive way of expression.

NSA contaminates channelled messages

GFP: Given that all that have been following this and other sites already know that we're watched, infiltrated and that some are being intentionally manipulated to disguise, confuse and let down, we also all know how and where to find the Truth. As Truth cannot be manipulated in any way, as it is our True Essence, as it is Love. And Love gives a feeling that cannot be manipulated in any artificial way. As Love is our Home, and when we go inside and listen to it... we simply Know if we care to discern.
And Love are also those trying to manipulate us in order to "forget to remember". Thus we will not forget this. We will not forget that even those unaware and even those on the "other side" are One with Love and thus One with Us=All=God. They will eventually re-member too... and we can help them by sending them Pure Love for their TrueSelf.

Thanks to fellow traveler Joan Bird for the pointer to this post. Are we surprised? Hardly. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. I presume this means that channelled messages are being viewed, increasingly, as a threat to the cabal.

Balsamic Moon Phase - Moon in Cancer

Today's energy brings in 1) the dynamics of control in all its forms, and 2) the tendency toward obsession.  Some people will demonstrate their perceived personal mastery in an attempt to control situations.  People who try to show off, impress, or dominate are going to fall head first (but not necessarily today).

We are in the final stretch of the journey now, December 2012 fast approaches. I have always said these will be precarious times and we must observe everything carefully. The dark ones are running out of time and are desperate to push through their agendas to complete their task of world domination. They will stop at nothing and we should all be well aware of what they are capable of by now! False flags are popping up now to aid them in what they wish to accomplish and they will continue. It is up to each of us to realize the truth and not fall for anymore of their lies. Each time they do something it is used as an excuse for them to lay down the law upon us yet again and strip us of more of our rights. Don’t believe me? Pay close attention to the political chatter after they commit their crimes.

Newly published research reveals that more frequent statin drug use is associated with accelerated coronary artery and aortic artery calcification, both of which greatly contribute to cardiovascular and all-cause mortality.

Published Aug. 8th, 2012 in the journal Diabetes Care, researchers studied patients with type 2 diabetes and advanced atherosclerosis and found that coronary artery calcification "was significantly higher in more frequent statin users than in less frequent users."[i]

Why Does Monsanto Always Win?

Rain's picture

World Truth

If you’ve ever wondered how Monsanto―a company that admits it wants to own the world’s food supply through its patented genetically engineered seeds―gets away with not having to label its products, all you have to do is follow the trail of money leading from their coffers into the pockets and campaign funds of well-placed politicians and regulators.

According to OpenSecrets.org, Monsanto basically lives at the doorsteps of legislators in Washington, where it spent $5.3 million last year lobbying the nation’s lawmakers, and has already spent $1.4 million in the first three months of this year.
