Big Story Weather from February 26: The winter storm was again the highlight of the day with plenty of snow falling from the Central Plains into the Great Lakes. The winds were also a problem on the back side of the front with places in Texas and the Gulf Coast dealing with winds over 30mph. The third big story was the tornado that hit Tampa Bay FL out in the warm sector of our storm system.
Weather Outlook for February 27: An occluded low pressure system near the Great Lakes will bring another day of heavy snow to the region. The newly developing low will push up the East Coast and have plenty of warm air for rain showers for New York and some light snow near Boston. High pressure, a very cold one at that, will begin to impact a good portion of the country with cold temperatures and dry conditions. Below is the weather for a few select cities.
