Big Story Weather from March 13: The storm system finally moved off shore over the Northeast, but it still brought rain showers to places in the Northeast. High pressure over the Southeast brought a cool evening to the South and Gulf Coast. High pressure over the Rockies kept a good portion of the West dry. A weak frontal boundary moved through the Northwest and brought showers to the region.
Big Story Weather Discussion for March 14: A few lingering snow showers will be possible off the Eastern Lakes today, while high pressure over the Southeast will keep the region nice and this will expand westward into the Gulf Coast as well. A weak area of low pressure will develop over the Plains region but should remain dry today due to the lack of return flow over the area. Another shot of colder air will be dropping into the Plains with the next high pressure center.
