Cylinder UFOs reported by multiple witnesses in two states
A cylinder-shaped UFO was reported by multiple witnesses on June 10, 2012, in two states, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.
Witnesses in both Florida and California described the object as appearing cylindrical in shape in two separate MUFON cases.
In California Case 39161, three witnesses at Monterey County sitting in a backyard watched "a cylinder shaped glowing light approaching" from the eastern horizon.
"It looked like a large flying wing as its span was pointing north to south as it was flying east to west," the reporting witness stated. "The underside was illuminated with a soft, glowing bluish/white light all the way around the cylinder shape. As it crossed the entire sky we could definitely discern the dark, gray cylinder shape as it was slightly illuminated by the undercarriage lights. Then as it got directly over us, it shifted on its axis in a clockwise direction from 45 degrees to 90 degrees, going from a flying wing type of thing to a flying torpedo or cigar shape would be the best way to describe it. It continued to the west and out over the ocean and disappeared over the horizon."
In Florida Case 39165, two witnesses at Sarasota County driving south on Beneta at 8:10 p.m. first noticed a cylinder-shaped object in the western sky that appeared to be changing shape.
"Then it disappeared, came back as a point of light, then elongated again," the reporting witness stated. "It was tilted at a very odd angle. We watched it for about 10 minutes, then it disappeared. During the time we were watching it, there was a greenish/blue tint on the ends that was visible; almost pulsating. There was an airplane higher than the object that looked dwarfed in comparrison."
