China charged the former police chief of Chongqing with a battery of crimes including taking bribes and abuse of power, pushing ahead with its bid to mop up a political scandal that shook the Communist Party and led to the downfall of his boss, Bo Xilai.
Wang Lijun allegedly “neglected his duty and bent the law for personal gain” to shield Bo’s wife, Gu Kailai, from charges that she plotted the murder a British businessman in November, the state-run Xinhua News Agency said. Gu was convicted last month of poisoning Neil Heywood with cyanide.

My wife hails from Chongquing
My wife hails from Chongquing which is situated in the Shichuan Provine in China. This is the province where Bo Xilai was heading when suddenly all hell came loose on him. Her family still lives in Chongquing and have been so for last 40 or so years. Bo Xilai is a local hero has he was greatly instrumental in bringing Chongquing to prominence. He fought corruption with his left hand wing man Wang Lijun who had prior history of eradicating corruption from East China which had a history of looting and problems arising from Islamist extremists occupying that land.
Wang Lijun is well known for fighting corruption among the locals and another Hero of China. Wang Lijun also went on record of warning the people about The Cabalist intentions when he was arrested initially so that he is not murdered. Unfortunately the Chinese government was quick to remove all that information from the BBS and other Chinese news/social media websites. After Wang Lijun broke the story out about the Cabal, my wife for the first time begin to believe what I have been telling her about the Cabal for months.
The English Businessman in question here was infact a member of the Cabalist faction and he wanted to promote his special interests in Chonquing as it was rising to prominence. As Bo Xilai was single minded about fighting cossuption, it is possible he had a hand in his murder.
One More thing. Since the

Since the Fall of Bo from power in Chongqing, her family there is reporting that the corrption there is again now rising to unmanagable levels.

Wang headed Chongqing’s police force from 2009 until early February. He oversaw a crackdown on gangs that raised the profile of Bo’s “Chongqing model,” with its focus on getting tough on crime and fighting social inequality.
As you can see, even the state media is admitting Wang Lijuns fight against corruption as this is something they cannot deny. Every father, mother, son and daughter of China knows this. We also know Chinese state media is known to supress the truth in favor of the ruling party.
Bo Xilai was the number 2 who cud potentially lead Chinese Party. The number 1 is Xi Jinping who has perhaps consolidated his position to lead China with the fall of Bo Xilai. The reason this fight is crucial in China as to who will now lead China when the change happens this November.
