Seven million customers duped by banks over credit card
insurance mis-selling to scoop £1.3billion in compensation
- 13 banks involved in the scam which saw insurance policies aggressively sold to customers at up to £82 a year
- Polices were meaningless as cards were already protected from fraud

Around 7.5million people duped by banks in the latest mis-selling scandal will scoop compensation of £1.3billion, regulators said today.
13 of the biggest banks and building societies - including High Street giants such as State-owned RBS - have been involved in credit card insurance mis-selling.
