ATTEMPTING TO FOCUS ONLY ON THE POSITIVE
CREATES IMBALANCE

Recently, repeatedly statements by our galactic family through a variety of channels made me question the way in which the New Thought/New Age metaphysical teachings have led us to think and create.
We have been instructed to focus on the positive and give no energy to the negative. Our thoughts are energy; energy is neutral until we color it by the way in which we direct our thoughts. Energy focused on the positive increases the positive; energy focused on the negative increases the negative.
Although I have found these metaphysical teachings to be extremely meaningful, I am now suspecting that they constitute only one step on the path to ascension to the 5th dimension. This Path to ascension and co-creation also includes some very subtle steps that are just now emerging into our group consciousness.
Rather than take a chance on misinterpreting our galactic family, I will state what I have heard them say. My perception of what they have said is that we are to be educated as to the myriad ways in which the dark cabal has enslaved us. This education is important as we near the end of our sojourn on the 3rd dimensional plane of duality. The paradoxical statement is that we are to give no fear or other negative energy to the dark cabal. I sense subtle meaning here that has to do with our learning to balance negative and positive rather than attempting to ignore one of the polarities.
Last night, the Universe began to teach me. I found a video I had not viewed. In listening to Lisa Harrison’s February 2012 interview of Bill (Wood) Brockbrader, I was struck by the way he explained duality. The goal of duality is not to focus on the negative or the positive. It is to bring the two together in such a way that they are balanced. In the balanced state, there is no negativity, no positivity. There is balance.[i]
My intuitive sense is that balance characterizes the 5th dimension and higher. Unconditional Love is based on balance.
In the coming days and weeks, we who choose to ascend with Mother Earth will need to learn balance. As we are educated regarding the degree to which the dark cabal (or negativity) could extend its enslaving tentacles while we focused elsewhere, the goal is that we perceive it is balance—not focus on either polarity—that is needed.
In utilizing the concepts of positive thinking, we have learned much about creating the good. But, we have remained unbalanced.
Now that planet Earth has entered the 4th dimension where duality still exists but is evolving toward balance, we are to move an additional step forward on our Path by learning balance.
We cannot learn balance by ignoring the negative polarity. By doing so, we create more imbalance.
By focusing on the positive, we have unknowingly allowed more negativity in the form of discrimination, poverty, starvation, and emotional suffering to take place.
Today, when I signed onto facebook, the Universe continued its teaching. Another synchronous event revealed balance through sacred geometry. As the video in this endnote reveals, the single point is the Unity Consciousness—the point of balance.[ii]
It seems we have much to learn in the coming weeks regarding creating balance out of duality. For it is only when we achieve balance that we can ascend into the 5th dimension.

Balance is good
I agree with you that balance, or harmony is what we strive for and what was represented by the eclipse.
However, I do not agree with this:

This doesn't really make sense to me, for many reasons. But mainly it bothers me because it makes it sound as if we are responsible for the suffering of others simply because we choose to focus on love. And that is impossible.

it is about allowance which = no attachment to outcomes = balance\ unconditional
if you know you are a child of God, then you know it is as it is meant to be. Then your path is about no attachment to outcomes only your own balnce. Trust/ Faith

Thank you for this interesting discussion, My Friends. It is very informative and I shall reflect on it some more because I think this is a very relevant topic at this time. I always enjoy hearing other perspectives on things like this and ultimately find that what is best for me becomes clear when I go inside and present different thoughts to myself. Heh. I would be interested in hearing more thoughts if anybody else would like to share.

Balance
I agree with the idea that balance is what is necessary for Ascension. In fact, if you have watched any of George Kavassilas' theories, you would know that he believes the exact same thing. Whats more, although it may be difficult to fathom, he believes that some people presently on Mother Earth that are part of the "negative" side will still Ascend, as they are merely "balancing" themselves. Kind of gives me more hope for myself and many others I know, in a way. :)
Re: Balance is good
Think of it like this:
Below you can see a drawing, P is for positive emotions (love joy etc), N is for negative (suffering, guilt etc) and that 0 that's you in the middle. When we are born we are balanced.

What happens when you focus on love and good. You tend to prefer the positive and avoid the negative.
Here's what happens:

That line in the middle is the center. As you can see a "gap" is created.
Because you are not in the middle, something must fill the gap to create the balance.
But try not to think in terms of positive and negative. That's just for this example. Because nothing is positive or negative. Everything simply is.
I understand both
I understand both views.Balance is necessary for the spiritual-growth. It is difficult to understand.
One thing, my spiritual guides have taught me in the past is that we must NOT AVOID conflict. By ignoring confrontation we are running away from whatever lesson we set out for ourselves. Then that same lesson comes back to us, but this time bigger and in our FACE. Until we learn to 'Accept' it for what it is, acknowledge it and the 'Let go'
Instead, most of us run away from this "Negative" energy because we are scared....and we end up not learning from it. Balance of Knowledge is the key. This is real uncondional love....because we might not agree with those of "negative" polarity, but we accept them on even CONFRONT them if we have to <3 <3
You are right
each time one avoids a lesson "running away" the lesson will come back. While using balance (which is nothing more and nothing less thatn TRUTH, deep, pure, truth) to look at it, enter it, understand it and expose it, and finally let it go for what it was... the lesson is yours once and for all.
Running away from negative is same as giving it all energy. When you're in balance you don't need to run from anything as LOVE's not afraid of anything. AS it cannot because True Love is True Freedom, first of all freedom of thought/Being.
