Congress in the US is considering extending the Act which gives federal agents broad wire-tapping permission. Officials have now come clean and said that the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Amendments Act has been used to violate people's Constitutional rights at least once in the past 4 years. US activist Aaron Swartz describes the practice is virtually illegal.

When are they going to stop playing games with these news stories, this attitude of "just this once" is prevalent in the current LIBOR scandals, the banks have been manipulating everything they do since their inception...it didn't start with the 2008 crash...it's been going on with them for 300 years
The government didn't just decide to tap phones and follow its citizens, it's been doing that for the last 70 years as well!!
Hopefully everyone will wake up to their game soon (?)
