Gaia, The Brave Sister Who Dared To Dream

We have been exposed to the concept of "bioships" for quite some time now. Back in 1953, Robert Sheckley published the short story, "Specialist" in which he described organic bioships. Star Wars, Star Trek, Farscape, SeaQuest and Doctor Who have all portrayed a variety of interstellar travel aboard bioships.

So you're probably comfortable with the concept of residing in a large craft that has a benevolent and sentient consciousness. Stretch your mind a bit further and apply that concept to Gaia. Consider yourself aboard a craft who has prepared a beautiful surface for us to reside in while she carries us safely through space. Earth is not a rock blindly following some pre-arranged magnetic trajectory over and over in endless dulldrum. She is alive and she is going somewhere. Don't let the fact that the sun still rises in the east fool you into thinking we are static.

Long before humans were seeded upon this beautiful ship, Gaia as a young planet, lived in close proximity to her sister planets. She dared to dream and longed to discover answers. She felt that the only way to truly gain this knowledge was to leave her family and live in the outer layers of her home. She volunteered to be the bioship for great experiments in duality and emotions. Cosmic Law allows for Free Will and Gaia's request was granted. In order for her to begin her task, her vibrations were lowered to allow inhabitation by a greater variety of beings.

Galactic beings were intrigued by her bravery and they too began to wonder about life on that daring bioship called Gaia. What lessons could be learned? How do lower beings overcome adversity? What would it be like to suffer amnesia, a total loss of memory, and try to find your way back. A video game if you will.

So Gaia allowed these other beings to accompany her on this journey of self-discovery. Skip ahead to the present day on the proverbial linear timeline and here we all are. Gaia remains a gentle and loving host even though we've polluted and devoured her like so many parasites. Her bravery stems from her immense capacity to love. If I had houseguests who trashed my house, ate all my food and treated me like a rock I would kick them out!

But here we stay. For as many lifetimes as we desire. Gaia has grown and matured from a young planet filled with creative wonder into the Grande Dame she is now. Let us now remember we are guests aboard this beautiful bioship called Gaia. As we continue with our ascension and learn to tap into the rich library she has made available to us, we will honor our hostess in loving ways that are sure to even catch her off guard.

Whether we stay here, return home to our own origins, or join the Galactic Federation, we will always remember the lessons learned with Gaia. There are other young renegade planets out there who have chosen to follow in Gaia's path. Someday, when they are ready for the final push towards the next rung on the ascension ladder,  their hostess will put out a cosmic call for help and intervention. We will heed the call and lend our assistance just as our Star Family is doing for us now.
