I wrote the following for the Spiritual Evolution page of The Aquarius Paradigm blog.

Spiritual evolution is an ongoing process that’s based in the amount of spiritual awareness a seeker gains along their path of enlightenment. A lot of people believe humanity’s experiencing a collective evolution from the third dimension to the fifth, but for this article, we’ll focus more on our general and ongoing evolution.

In my opinion, it doesn’t matter if we believe we’re entering the fifth dimension or not, because spiritual evolution is ongoing and will never cease.

Progress. Evolution. Change.

No matter what you call it, it’s something we all struggle with.

Why is that?

We acknowledge that being stagnant prevents us from getting anywhere, yet we refuse to take the steps (consciously or unconsciously) to do anything about it. We can blame our fear of discomfort, our fear of being our true selves, or simply the failure to take personal responsibility, but it’s more than that.

We know that if we repeat the same actions, we get the same results. But our problem isn’t in our actions, it’s in our approach. We focus on what we’re giving up rather than what we’re getting.

So what do you do?

The German government has blocked Edward Snowden from giving personal evidence in front of a parliamentary inquiry into NSA surveillance, it has emerged hours before Angela Merkel travels to Washington for a meeting with Barack Obama.

In a letter to members of a parliamentary committee obtained by Süddeutsche Zeitung, government officials say a personal invitation for the US whistleblower would "run counter to the political interests of the Federal Republic", and "put a grave and permanent strain" on US-German relations.

There is currently a bill before the U.S. House of Representatives to establish a United States Department of Peacebuilding. This historic measure will augment our current problem-solving options, providing practical, nonviolent solutions to the problems of domestic and international conflict.

The legislation will pass from bill to law under one condition: that a wave of citizen interest rise up from the American people and make itself heard in the halls of Congress.

Select one area of unrest, whether it is a past wound you wish to heal, a behavior you wish to change or something that leaves you feeling less than whole. With this in mind, relax while taking in several breaths. Focus on your breathing until you have released any tension in your body. When you reach this level of relaxation, you enter into theta brainwaves allowing you to more easily disengage the logical mind. Mentally, see yourself pushing a button that temporarily shuts off the left side of the brain.

So many of you are goal oriented. You choose something you wish to do and then you obsess about that thing until it happens. While having an intention and focus is wonderful and necessary for creation, we find a curious thing happening. Rather than having joy in the process of creation, we find many of you feeling a great unease as you focus on the absence of the thing you desire. It is as if life isn’t good now, until you are in the energy of the thing you want.
