A UFO was caught on video flying near a Chinese manned rocket launch which has the whole country jittery and on edge. In this video a Chinese news reporter describes the phenomenon and asks the question, "What is it?"
The missile, known as the Shenzhou 9 spacecraft (translated as "God 9") blasted off on Saturday carrying the world's first Chinese woman astronaut, fighter pilot Liu Yang, up to a space station test module.
The flight was watched by millions around the world because of its historic crew and its mission, which is to begin the process of one day eventually landing Chinese astronauts on the Moon.
But it was the launch itself which had the whole nation buzzing as an unidentified flying object was spotted flying directly into the path of the rocket as it was climbing into space.
This video was caught by an infrared video camera tracking the launch and clearly shows a UFO flying past the vehicle.
Chinese officials have stated they are unaware of any aircraft assigned to fly so close, if that's possible, and point to the two chase planes, well below the missile and clearly visible, which were authorized to follow the rocket as high as possible.
This news report, in Chinese, manages to convey the message in any language that the sighting has caused confusion and perhaps fear in the minds of the millions who witnessed it.
So, what is it?
Here's the video:
What do you think?
