~From The Hollow Stones
It was incredibly beautiful. So much light, it was almost hard to look at. I wanted to cry, all I could feel was love. As I looked down, I realized I was no longer me, but I was a ball of light in the web. I followed the thread out from the center of my light and it led to so many other points. The points all looked the same but they were all different. I knew them not by how they looked, but by how they felt. I realized at that moment what The One had meant when she got upset with me for my rage, and how I was hurting everyone, not just myself. I could see that whatever I was feeling would travel along the web to the intersecting points of light. My emotions would then continue along all the threads that expanded outward from that ball of light.
I have always been fascinated by what we determine to be powerful. Most of the time we look to tangible items for power. A strong person, a truck instead of a car, we even perceive a mountain as being stronger than water. But is any of that true?
What is true power? In my perspective true power is something that inspires you to change. We all know how difficult change is, when a habit is deeply engrained in us. But strong emotion can motivate us to change that habit. Passion creates great works of art. Compassion saves lives.
If you wish to feel very powerful I believe all you have to do is feel your emotion, and I mean truly feel it, not just be aware that it is there, brewing under the surface. Now I am not sure I condone feeling rage in the middle of a busy shopping mall, that could put you in a very awkward position. However if there is rage in you, then you need to feel it to be able to channel it outward. Stuck emotion festers and turns into wounds that won't heal.
As you can, it is very important to feel the power of your own emotion. Try to find an appropriate time and place so that misunderstandings won't be created, but I cannot stress the importance of this enough. Feeling what you feel, will be the most healing power you can create.
