Dear Carolin,
How do you break the Internet? Just ask Verizon.
Last week we told you about the Verizon vs. FCC court case — which could strike down the only protections we have against companies that want to block what we do and say online.
During the hearing, Verizon revealed its sneaky plan for making the Internet more like cable TV, where your remote offers only the illusion of choice.
It's now as clear as day: Verizon thinks it owns the Internet. It thinks it has the right to block our speech and favor one service over another. Verizon's vision is the exact opposite of Net Neutrality. In fact, Verizon wants to create the anti-Internet.
But Verizon isn't living its dream yet. With your support, we can stop Verizon and save the Internet.

This isn’t the first time we’ve fought threats to Net Neutrality, and it won’t be the last. But we’ve won before and we can do it again.
If we don’t fight back, we better get ready to say:
- Goodbye free speech: If Verizon has its way, our ability to speak freely and privately online will disappear.
- So long innovation and choice: Our ability to use the Internet to create and share our apps, code and content will be lost. We'll be forced to view Verizon's favorite shows and use Verizon's favorite apps.
- Hello discrimination: Companies that can afford Verizon’s tolls will get speedy service — and the rest of us will be stuck in the slow lane.
