Commentary from the Steve Beckow~

Major, magnificent statement from Lightworker Marianne Williamson at Occupy LA, Oct. 12, 2011. Thanks to Beatrice.

Excerpts:

“People on Wall Street need the support of people all over the country. New York needs the partnership of other cities, particularly a powerhouse like LA. It is very easy to mock social-justice movements. But we are not easy to dismiss and we are growing. It is 95 degrees in LA but getting colder in New York. So it is up to LA and other cities to take up the slack.

“When you have 24 million Americans who despite their best efforts cannot find full-time employment, this is not just about economics. This is not just about government. This is about human suffering. When you have 50 million people in the United States who if they get sick cannot go to the doctor, cannot take their children to the doctor, that’s human suffering. When you have 50 million people in the United States whose mortgage costs more than the value of their home, that amounts to real human suffering. When you have 47 million people in the United States  who despite their best efforts need government assistance to eat, that is human suffering.  …

“When a large group of Americans rise up en masse and says to institutionalized, legalized and legitimized forces of economic and financial injustice, government-supported in far too many cases, when a large group of Americans rises up and say to them that’s enough. This is what we understand. That’s democracy.”

[Quotes statistics.]

“That is not only an immoral level of inequality. It is an unsustainable level of inequality.” Good job, Marianne.

Don’t you just see the Lightworkers coming out of the woodwork? And to the other editors and to all you people who are serving as our eyes and ears here and sending in these suggestions for articles which I would never have the time to find on my own, thank you. We are getting the job done. We are building a world that works for everyone, 100% of the 1o0%, and we are building it right now.
