The Mexican armed forces have arrested 35 police officers accused of having links with one of the country's most powerful drug cartels, the Zetas.
The Zetas were set up in the 1990s by defectors from Mexico's special forces
The officers were arrested in operations in the eastern states of San Luis Potosi and Veracruz.
A turf war between the Zetas and rival criminal organisations in Veracruz has led to some of Mexico's worst massacres in recent years.

so end the drug war
Oh Mexico, I'm sorry Bush was mean to you
in 2008 you decriminalized everything, saving lives
but then they scolded you and you took it back
Mexico I'm sorry our politicians made so much violence arise in your country due to making normal commodities crimes
do the right thing, legalize everything , strongly encourage healthy decisions and do not condone liquor or heroin ,
use Iboga to heal opiate addicts,
and cannabis to heal cancer
psychedelics to inspire people not to be addicted to anything
set a new paradigm,
you can't beat cartels can you ? what if the cartels are run by governments? but you can change laws so that the cartels become corporations and things become less violent.
