Natural Remedies: Peaceful Petaled Soda Pop

Just like people, all plants have their own personality traits. All of the flowers in this recipe were chosen for their energetic properties of harmony, symmetry,
accord, and acceptance.

Lavender generates tranquility, Violets generate good-heartedness and help us heal old emotional wounds, and Pennyroyal (a kind of mint) inspires peace between people or within yourself. The Rose has long been associated with purity of intention, and Lilac helps bridge the loving energies you have for yourself with those around you.

In Ayurvedic medicine, a dosha is (in very simple terms) a kind of a personality trait or a persons energy signature. The three types are called Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. As with everything in life, the optimal state is to be in balance with all three doshas.
Most of us tend to have a natural predisposition towards one particular dosha. You can read more about doshas, their traits and tips to keep them in balance here: http://www.whatsyourdosha.com/article-3_doshas.html

This Peaceful Petaled Soda Pop recipe is designed to assist in balancing all three doshas.

I live in a region with naturally carbonated spring water that comes up from the ground, but if you don't have access you can also use a commercial carbonated water (seltzer).
You will need:
1/2 cup Lilac petals
2 tsp Lavender flowers
2 tsp Pennyroyal
1 white Rose (white is the color of peace)
1 tsp Violet petals chopped
honey or stevia sweetener to taste
1 1/2 cups carbonated or seltzer water

(This recipe makes 1 1/2 to 2 cups of soda so if you're having company simply increase accordingly!)

Simmer your flowers in just enough plain water so the petals are covered.

Wait until the petals turn transluscent.
Pour the carbonated water in a pitcher and gently squeeze the juices from the petals into the pitcher.
Add sweetener to taste.

Note: If this soda is being prepared to bring peace to a struggling relationship, change the white rose to a red rose to increase the energies of love and help make for smoother, more loving communications.

Other uses without the addition of the carbonated water:
This gently simmered flower medley can be used in a finger bowl.
Dip your fingers in the elixer to inspire gentle writing, to aid in a kind handshake, and for dipping into just before a long hand-in-hand walk with your lover.

You can also pour it into a spray bottle and gently spritz a room or an area where there's been a lot of anger or tension; as you add your own loving essence to the space you'll be able to feel the peaceful energies filling the air!

When you utilize ingredients from Mother Earth you also infuse the product with your own energies.

This mutual sharing of energies between yourself and the plants is a very special friendship, so always take a moment in your preparation to thank your friends for their gifts.

Breathe in deeply to calm and center yourself and as you breathe out imagine your breath as a pink mist of love flowing out into everything around you.
