New Moon Report – 10.15.12 ~ Sing a New Song!

Hello dear readers,
So it’s been quite a journey from the Full Moon in Aries to the New Moon in Libra. So that Easterly wind blew our hats off and made us batten down the hatches. So what did we learn? Quite a lot actually! In preparation for the upcoming Stargates of 11.11 and the power month of 12.12-12.21, the growth processes have been on overdrive. We’ve been advised by the Akashic Wisdom Keepers to “Travel light,” and this has been a good year for it. :)

I was happy when I saw the Sabian Symbol for this New Moon: (LIBRA 23°): Chanticleer’s (Rooster’s) voice heralds sunrise. “New Song” by Howard Jones then started playing in my head. It’s perfect.

New Song – Howard Jones

I’ve been waiting for so long. To come here now and sing this song. Don’t be fooled by what you see. Don’t be fooled by what you hear. This is a song to all my friends, they take the challenge to their hearts. Challenging preconceived ideas. Saying goodbye to long standing fears. – Bradley James Nowell

KEYNOTE: A creative and joyous response to life processes. The cock that crows as the first coloring of dawn appears at the eastern horizon is a beautiful symbol of the ability, demonstrated by all pioneers and cosmically attuned individuals, to give voice to what is as yet unmanifested, but is on the way to manifestation. At the ego level, chanticleer may feel that he makes the sun rise; but someday he will learn through painful experiences that to create is only to reveal what essentially is. It is the vivid recognition of the as-yet-unknown in the known. This third stage symbol should make us think afresh about issues we too often take for granted. At every “sunrise” there are a few isolated witnesses that herald the coming of a new day. What is at stake here is the individual’s capacity of RESPONSE TO LIFE’S RENEWALS — renewals which are cyclic, predictable, yet always new, always creative. – Dane Rudhyar

My interpretation of this symbol for us right now: We’ve all been “through it” this year. Of this there is little doubt. The chanticleer reminds us that the Sun rises with us in the morning whether we feel happy, well or not. The Sunrise each morning is an act of renewal. There are little ones all around us, especially if we look for them. I feel that this energy at the New Moon is particularly nurturing, restorative and lovely. The Rooster gives a “wake up” call every morning, which is both literal and metaphorical. We have been given yet another glorious opportunity here for growth, wisdom and insight. I feel the rooster here is also a symbol of confidence and strength. If he goes overboard he becomes a nuisance. It is the same for us. We have been learning about our strengths, talents and gifts all year. We also have been learning about boundaries and the conservation of energy. Some people just want to keep singing some old songs (for now,) and it is certainly within their rights to do so. Keeping in mind the only people we can truly wake up are ourselves.

We hum the same old lines to a different crowd, and everybody wants to cheer it. We run on endless time to reach a higher cloud, but we never ever seem to get near it. We sing the same old song. – Pete Townshend

It’s true, Mr. Townshend is right. It takes courage to sing a new song. Especially to a tough crowd that doesn’t want to hear it. I love the metaphor of a song and think it is perfect on several levels. The Black Crowes as well as the Grateful Dead spoke about “the song.” It is a frequency, Source, Love or whatever you wish to call it. Artists, mystics and musicians of all era have been able to tap into it. This time however, we will reach the higher cloud. It’s our destiny and karmic path to do so. You might even say it’s in the stars!

There is a Buddhist saying that “if we always do what we’ve always done, we will continue to be who we’ve always been.” Our “Song” is deeply and innately tied to us as our vibrational signature. This isn’t always easy to change but it certainly can be done through focused attention, will and effort.

In these powerful times of transformation on the planet (i.e. Uranus/Pluto 2010-2015,) it’s all about movement, change and shaking things up. If the old song was limiting and fearful, it’s time to sing another. It doesn’t even matter if you’re off key. It’s the heart that really matters now.

New Moon Message: Beloveds, yes it is true this is a time of revolution individually and collectively, but this time the revolution is quite different. It is more of an “inside job” so to speak than ever. Also, it is about holding ALL in unity; even the despicable, dysfunctional and the ugly. How much love can you radiate at an unconditional level? It is possible to consciously resist something without perpetuating it. It is to discern the inferior and harmful, but not to blame or judge it. Holding a consistent vibrational “note” is a key here. – The Akashic Wisdom Keepers, 10.2.12
