I am a middle class struggling teacher/ single mom. The first time I attended San Diego Occupy it became immediately apparent that there was a great discrepancy in what I saw and what the media was portraying. What I witnessed was a highly diverse group of people who were intelligent, passionate, and VERY frustrated by a system that is not working. This experience inspired the song which I have linked to here. I want people to know who we are. Listen if you have the time, and share. I hope you find yourself in these words and images. And, I hope you consider sharing your voice with this movement. And remember, .99 + .01 = 1. We are ALL part of the equation.
