Power Path Full Moon Update 4~6~12 with Pat Liles
Dear Friends,
Full Moon is Friday, April 6 at 1:19 PM Mountain Daylight Time. Mercury has gone direct on April 4th and it is all systems go. If you have recently made a bid for power this is a time you will likely be tested on that bid. If everything is as it should be, you should feel a sense of power and expansion and you will see signs along the way confirming you are on the right track. The universe wants to know if you are ready and serious.
What could stand in the way? Impatience, Martyrdom, Self Deprecation, Arrogance and all of the other lovely obstacles that derail us every day. If you are being shown you are not ready, revisit your bid and see where you need more support, more commitment and more clarity. The bids that fail are usually lacking in something that truly makes them yours. Make sure no one else is influencing what you are trying to accomplish. That is the key. Regardless of what your experience is at this time, practice copious amounts of gratitude. It is the fuel that will keep things moving in the right direction.

Full Moon in Libra 17º, Sun in Aries 17º Friday, April 6 2012, 1:19 PM MDT
With the Full Moon in Libra, we ride the Moon to the top of the cycle begun in late March with Equinox and New Moon coming so close together. Lots of inspiration and desire for moving ahead, but what is that loose, foggy feeling that makes it difficult to get a little traction on our moves forward? Why am I drifting off into dreamtime when I can see eight things in front of me to do….? Well, it’s those darn retrograde planets! The do-er, link-er planets, Mars and Mercury are both retrograde ~ Mars since mid-January and Mercury since mid-March. Saturn, the planet that keeps us focused, disciplined and on track is in its second month of a four month retrograde as well. Things are just not coming together at the lightening speed expected when you let Aries out of the gate at the beginning of Spring. And to add to the inertia, Pluto, who is about to go retrograde on April 11, is at a standstill at 9º from March to May. The message of retrograde is clear: Go within, re-align, re-assess, re-group, re-new. Surrender to a power larger than your self.
When I look at the chart for New Moon – March 22 and I look at the chart for Full Moon, they look practically identical except for two striking features. They look so much alike that I’m going to quote myself here from last month on a few on-going key features:
There’s an on-going Grand Cross or Grand Square formed by the North/South nodes squaring Mars on one hand and Chiron on the other. (Continuing roughly from the Full Moon of March 8 to Scorpio Full Moon of May 5) The Nodes always point us in the direction where we are revisiting and healing our past experiences and issues and where we need to stretch and grow and embrace the new. Chiron is opening wounds buried deep within the psyche offering an opportunity to clear anger and fear issues represented by Mars. War has taken its toll on our souls. The Nodes sit on the Gemini/Sagittarius axis (thinking/believing) helping us let go of our mental traps and small-mind need for constant stimulation and logical explanations for life and broadening our philosophical horizons, urging us to speak out for what is ethical and moral, and let meaning and deep connection with truth lead our hearts and voices.
The Masculine, symbolized by Mars square the nodal axis and opposite Chiron and Neptune, is coming to the time of laying down its role as the dominant, logical paradigm of the last few thousand years. There’s plenty of saber rattling still going on in the world, but now we enter a time of healing that deep wound of unchecked linear, masculine dominating the intuitive/feminine aspects of life. We honor and bless the elements that played out this drama of duality that was so necessary for the collective consciousness.
Now we get to hold the light for this current intense period of transition. The next few years of Uranus and Pluto making seven exact squares through 2015 (June 24 and Sept 18, 2012 for this year) will be a time of revolutionary activity, evolving to a greater level of consciousness, and practicing more efficiency in embracing changing circumstances. We will become very aware of what we have become attached to and masters at learning to let go and at the same time, creating effortlessly through the quantum field. Mars’ current long retrograde stay in Virgo for eight months instead of the usual two (Nov. 2011 to July 2012) is not about criticizing what’s seemingly external to us, but about seeking our calling and finding our true service, focusing on the present moment, and letting go of the victim stance.
Feminine asteroid Juno who expresses through relatedness and committed relationship is also on a three-month journey with the North Node. A commitment to our own wholeness, relationship that is equal and reciprocal, and a shared vision in place of fanatic beliefs and emotional manipulation is our point of growth. Take time now to know at a very deep level what is important to you in your relationships. Make clear to yourself from your heart what you are committed to. It’s an on-going theme for the season.
The key differences in this Full Moon chart compared to the former New Moon chart of this cycle are 1) that Venus is now aligned with the South Node and 2) the Moon will be forming a configuration with the Grand Square called Thor’s Hammer or sometimes God’s Fist. (That’s a 90º square forming the base and two 135º aspects forming a triangle).
It’s almost humorous how the cosmos treats the denser beings in the universe (us). The Universe says something to the effect of, ‘Oh, you didn’t get what I was saying about cleaning up your current relationship issues, okay. I’m sending in Venus, Goddess of Relationship, to stand next to the South Node (where you’re supposed to be working to clear up old habits) and I’ll add Thor’s Hammer/God’s Fist focused on the Full Moon so you can feel that its mandatory that you do this work. (Picture Thor’s Hammer/Fist coming down (figuratively, of course) on fingers, head, etc.)
The Universe is redundant, so we don’t miss the point. Full Moon in Libra, Sun in Aries is about the Identity and Partnering Axis. The lunar ruler is Venus; the solar ruler of Aries is Mars. Venus and Mars are squared in this chart. Venus in Gemini and Mars in Virgo need to talk. There’s tension here, crisis. Our evolution depends on it; our healing depends on it. The Feminine must come into balance within itself and equally, The Masculine must come into healthy balance within itself before they can join and move into deep equality and cooperation that we can feel, but can’t quite see yet. We are birthing ourselves right now in this way. It’s emerging without a doubt, but this chart is saying, ‘go deeper’, ‘crack open’.
