Galactic Reporter Rebekah Shaman ~ Sagittarius New Moon, Friday 25th 2011

He said, "Son, I've made my life
Out of readin' people's faces
Knowin' what the cards were
By the way they held their eyes
So if you don't mind my sayin'
I can see you're out of aces
For a taste of your whiskey
I'll give you some advice"

So I handed him my bottle
And he drank down my last swallow
Then he bummed a cigarette
And asked me for a light
And the night got deathly quiet
And his faced lost all expression
He said, "If you're gonna play the game, boy
You gotta learn to play it right

You've got to know when to hold 'em
Know when to fold 'em
Know when to walk away
Know when to run
You never count your money
When you're sittin' at the table
There'll be time enough for countin'
When the dealin's done

Now every gambler knows the secret to survivin'
Is knowin' what to throw away
And knowin' what to keep
'Cause every hand's a winner
And every hand's a loser
And the best that you can hope for
Is to die in your sleep" ~ Kenny Rogers, The Gambler

Mercury retrograde is almost upon us and we only have the next few days to make a disciplinary effort to complete as much as you can before 23rd November.  For those of you who are not familiar with Mercury Retrograde, Mercury is the planet of Communication and every four months it goes retrograde (meaning it looks as if it is going backwards from the perspective of Earth) for about three weeks.

This can have a detrimental effect on any electronic devices, with malfunctions, breakdowns and quirks appearing in the system.  Likewise, written communications and signed agreements can often look very different after Mercury goes forward again, so it is advisable not to sign anything important or make any decisions until after 13th December.

Mercury Retrograde plays an important part in our yearly cycle as it slows things down, enabling us to have a breather from the intense flow of the river.  It gives us the opportunity to re-examine, reflect and revise what we have been working on over the last few months to make sure we are on the right track and clear with our visions and goals.

Mercury retrograde under the sign of Sagittarius can also flag up some of the meaningful connections we have made over the last few months.  If certain people come to mind, follow it up by contacting them, even if you are not sure why. Magic happens when we trust our intuition and reconnect to a person who is in our thoughts, however random they might be.

NEW MOON in SAGITTARIUS – Friday 25th November @ 6.10 GMT/1.10 EST
Ritual for SAGITTARIUS NEW MOON
MERCURY RETROGRADE - Wednesday 23rd Nov - 13th December
____________________________________________________________
NEW MOON IN SAGITTARIUS – (Thursday 24th November @ 10.10 PST
)

We have reached the final Moon cycle of 2011 with the energies being stirred up by the partial Solar eclipse just before the Sagittarius new Moon on 24th November and then the total Lunar eclipse on the full Moon in Gemini on 10th December.

All year we have been urged by the Moon to let go of our fears and trust that we are being protected and guided when we follow our hearts. These are the concluding eclipses of the year and give us the final opportunity of 2011 to trust our hearts, our inner voice/intuition and follow our deepest desires. It gives us the faith and courage to step into the unknown, if we haven’t already done so, and trust that we are going to fly.

There are some powerful galactic and planetary alignments happening next year that will have an effect on both Planet Earth and us humans living upon her. This year has been a year of gains and losses, where we all have had to let go of something or someone dear to us; belief systems that was no longer serving us; behaviours, addictions and conditionings that were restricting us; friends and relatives that were no longer seeing us for who we truly are.

This letting go has been both empowering and painful, as we learn to leave what we no longer need in the past in order to clear the space for new experiences and people to come into our lives.  The more we have allowed ourselves to let go this year the easier we will find the flow in 2012.

Next year will come with a whole new energy and vibration and we will not have the same opportunities as we had this year to sort out our ‘baggage’ and become lighter and freer.  Use this Sagittarius/Gemini Moon cycle to release any last things that have been restricting you from living your passion, doing what you desire and becoming more of who you are.

The Sagittarius Moon tells us: " Embrace your passions this Moon by following your inner quest for knowledge.  Pursue the wisdom you are thirsting for. Ask questions, speak honestly, honour your truth, find forgiveness, let go of your projections of others and turn your attention inward to yourself. Expand your horizons, feel the wind at your back guiding you on the flow of life. Feel excited for the adventures that lay ahead."

We feel more in tune with the flow and cycles of life under this Moon and become less cynical and pessimistic. We are more able to see the possibilities and options available to us that have been hidden behind the fear.

However, this can often lead to idealism and blindness to seeing the whole picture. Beware of having too high an expectation of someone, a project or a situation.  Things are changing at every moment and the more we hold on to ideals and our own projections of others, the more difficult and painful life becomes.

The Sagittarius Moon inspires us to open our wings, travel and see the world.  It also magnifies our need to escape if we begin to feel confined to a situation that we cannot see a way out of.

If you are feeling trapped and stuck in a relationship or job, you are going to feel it more deeply over the next two weeks.  Any inner resentment will be illuminated and will probably immerge from the depths, especially if it has been rolling around for a while.

You may find yourself in a situation where you can no longer keep your anger and frustration silent.  However, there is no satisfaction in pouring petrol on an explosive situation.  The more calm and aware you are the more effective you will be in communicating your feelings without a drama or a hurting others with your blunt and stinging assertions.

Instead use the Sagittarius sense of humour to guide you through the difficulties, and see the cosmic joke in what is happening.  The optimism and enthusiasm of this Moon sign will help you to overcome any obstacle you are facing right now.

Thanksgiving, the American ritual and ceremony of sharing, is on 24th November, and an important reminder to be thankful for all the blessings in our lives.  It shifts us out of victim mode and into a more empowered loving energy where we can share our love and abundance with others. The more we radiate our joy and love out into the world, the more we see it reflected back in our own lives.

This is a time to embrace your faith in yourself, your projects and creative endeavours.  Keep the flame of faith burning bright in your heart and a clear vision of what you want to achieve.  Under this Moon we can see life as a journey and an adventure…embrace the adventure and have fun!

I will end this Lunascope with the wise words of Buddha:

“There are two mistakes one can make along the road to truth...not going all the way, and not starting.”

Love and Blessings

SAGITTARIUS NEW MOON RITUAL

The first ritual for this new moon is to trust your intuition and honour your inner voice.  Sometimes it asks us to do things that are beyond our comfort zone or takes us into the unknown.  The more we listen and act on our inner wisdom the easier it becomes to trust it.  Start with easy things first like calling someone if they pop into your head or turning left instead of right – regardless of what you rational mind is telling you. The more faith you have in yourself, the more magical life becomes.

The second ritual reminds us of how wonderful life is.  Sit in a quiet room – be patient and wait until you have completed all your tasks for the day and are ready to give yourself some time.  Have a pen and paper ready, then light candles and burn incense to create an ambient space and sit comfortably with your back as straight as is comfortable.

Close your eyes and become aware of your body. Connect deeply and slowly with your toes, legs, thighs, torso, arms, neck, face and then crown, imagining light infusing each area with love and wellbeing.  Exhale all your stresses and release all your frustrations, breathing them right out of your body. Repeat this process three times or until you are feeling relaxed.

Write down ten things that you are grateful for in your life and spend some time really allowing the gratitude to flow through your body.  Feel your heart opening up and send love and thanks out into the universe.

Now write ten things you would love to create or experience. Try to do this without any judgement or analysis – it may be that your true desires have been discouraged in the past, and emotional defence mechanisms will try to question your exploration of these hidden dreams. The time for analysis and judgement come later, for now let the inner child within speak freely.

Alongside each dream or inspiration note the obstacles (physical, mental, emotional), preventing you from achieving it and any ideas on how you are going to overcome or dissolve each hurdle.  Go deep into your heart and listen to your inner voice.  Tune in to the guidance lying patiently within you. This ritual is all about expressing your truth. The more open and honest you are with yourself, the easier it is to hear your intuition.

The last ritual is to find see the funny side of life, the cosmic joke!.  Every day make a conscious effort to find at least one thing that makes you laugh and find someone to share your joy and laughter with.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

Some Info About Me and Visit my Website and BLOG  www.rebekahshaman.com

I write this Lunascope every two weeks on the New and Full Moon to inspire and help you reconnect and become realigned with the Rhythm of the Planet, by flowing with the natural cycles of the year and the eight Ancient Festivals of celebration that mark and define the annual Moon cycle.  The more we live within the natural flow, the more magic and harmony we experience in our lives.

In 1998, while working as a Cultural and Activities Manager in a Hotel in Peru, I had a vision of a Shaman.  He told me in the vision that he had the answers to some of the questions I had about my existence and reason for why I am on the planet.

So I flew to the Amazon and found the Shaman nestled in a tiny village deep in the Amazon Jungle.  While living with him and his family I experienced first-hand that we are a part of, not apart from, Mother Earth and all life forms and Nature is our symbiotic Mother.  By destroying our natural world, we are destroying ourselves, and quickly.

We have been bamboozled by a corrupt calendar and even more corrupt concept of time. Through concepts like ‘time is money,’ we have gradually forgotten our symbiotic relationship with the Earth and natural environments. Indigenous communities, since time began had a higher vision for humanity and the Earth.

I have also written a book, ‘The Shaman’s Last Apprentice,’ about my experiences in Peru that contains messages from an Amazonian Shaman. It’s available online at www.rebekahshaman.com
