Activity has been lower today, but for most of the day, visibility has been bad. The lava flow on the upper part of the Sciara del Fuoco remained active with one branch still flowing, but decreased to about half its size and length of yesterday.

Explosions of large fluid lava bubbles from the NE vent still occur at intervals of 15-30 minutes.
