According to a Environmental Integrity Project (EIP) report issued on July 18th, there were so many so-called “accidents” at refineries, oil and gas facilities and petrochemical plants throughout Texas, that the total pollution emitted across the state amounted to an astonishing 100,000 tons from 2009 through 2011.
Here at Top Secret Writers, we’ve often covered tragic stories of environmental pollution in China, but what the EIP report reveals is that even some states in the U.S. are vulnerable to the sort of corporate short-sighted actions that lead to this level of pollution.
