Reader: ” I have a problem I have been dealing with for the past ten years trying to find a steady job. I work in restaurants…over 20 years in them on and off, but I really want to be in the arts. But I need the cash so I can pursue the arts with financial backing. I go on interviews all the other females are much younger than me but I look younger than my age. It has me very confused it seems they don’t want to hire me because I have too much experience. What should I do? I’m so frustrated. Where should I look? I live in NYC. Thank you.”

Your confusion is a result of the mixed signal you are sending to the universe, so the universe is responding to you with a confused result. To gain clarity you must go to the space within where you can imagine yourself already doing the arts you wish to be doing, without the need for financial or any other kind of backing. Your vibration that tells us what you want is all kind of muckied up with your vibrations about money and work.

In order to clarify your vibration about doing art, you must separate it out from your beliefs about money. It is very prevalent in your society to place money in the position of being the cause of all the good things that happen to you. But money will not cause anything to happen in your world unless you have the vibration of what you want clearly fixed in your imagination.

We don’t want to pick on anyone, but haven’t you seen examples of people who have money, but no talent, attempting to generate art? It usually flops. And the reason it flops is because they have not developed the vibration of an appreciated finished work first. Instead, they just said “I’ll go buy that.” It works the same way when you have money and you want a new car that runs right. If you don’t fix your vibration about a car that “runs right”, your new car will have as many problems as the old one. Money won’t fix your vibration for you.

So, money or no money, you must imagine your way into a space, your creation zone, where you have already received everything you want; where money is not an issue. You neither have money nor don’t have it—you simply have your art and success and are enjoying it. It doesn’t matter how you got there, just visualize yourself there.

You are putting too much of a burden on money and on your employment to try to make you an artist: Only your connection with the Source of All will get you there. We think that when you get those vibrations apart from one another, your employment issues will resolve themselves as well. Your actions will become clear when the universe knows what you really want.

Spend a little time each morning and night clearly imagining only what you want, free of the money issue, and don’t worry about how at all. When you try to figure out how it’s all going to happen you will muck up your vibration every time. Then stay bright and happy with your day knowing the universe has got you covered. It is that simple. Breathe, relax and enjoy.
