A pilot flying at 41,000 feet was worried enough about a UFO flying alongside, he made a report to air traffic control as his co-pilot filmed the mysterious object until it disappeared into the night.
The video of the incident, posted to YouTube, captures the object as it flies near the jet, obviously not a star or planet. The conversation with air traffic control is clearly heard on the video, which seemed to be taken on an iPhone by the co-pilot.
The pilot is asking about traffic nearby on radar and is told there is another aircraft three miles off, but not in the position filmed by the co-pilot. That probably means the unidentified flying object is not showing up on air traffic control radar screens.
As the co-pilot zooms in on the UFO it suddenly winks out and disappears. It doesn't look like any known aircraft and is flying too close for the pilot's comfort.
Airline pilots are notoriously wary of reporting unidentified objects in their flight path, but this one decided it was worth the call.
