Uproar about a light from the sky

Kota Kinabalu: The appearance of a red light in the sky that was clearly visible for a some time not only caused people to panic, but some were quick to make various assumptions including claiming the incident was caused by a meteor or comet.
It was determined that the red light first became clearly visible around Penampang and Putatan beginning at 7 pm yesterday [3 Sept 2014], before eventually becoming blurred and then later disappear at about 10pm.
A resident who only wanted to be known as Winnie, 22, said she was aware of the phenomenon when driving her car to go home, about 9pm.
