Activity of Popocatépetl volcano in Mexico is on a slightly increasing trend with 48 exhalations of low to medium intensity during 14-15 Oct, some of which were accompanied by small emissions of ash. The largest produced plumes rising 1.5 km above the crater. Crater glow is visible at night.

The lava flow from Fuego volcano in Guatemala is now 600 m long, and there are only few weak explosions with ash plumes about 400 m height.

Santiaguito had a small explosion this morning at 06:01 local time. Otherwise, the lava dome has been steaming and the fronts of the lava flows remain weakly active.

A small swarm of earthquakes occurred today at the center of El Hierro volcano.

An eruption of Manam volcano in Papua New Guinea produced an ash plume rising to 10,000 ft / 3 km altitude earlier today.

A strong SO2 plume is visible from Nyiragongo and/or neighboring Nymuragira volcano in the DR Congo.

A hot spot continues to be visible at Karymski volcano in Kamchatka and a possible small eruption with ash to 13,000 ft / 4 km altitude occurred today at 13:00 h GMT.

Sakurajima volcano has been quieter with only a smaller explosion during the past 24 hours.

New strombolian activity from Klyuchevskoi volcano was reported by KVERT.
