Etna (Sicily, Italy): Sporadic weak explosions from the New SE crater have continued. Currently, there are no signs of increasing activity.

Klyuchevskoy (Kamchatka): The eruption continues with spectacular lava flows on the flanks of the steep cone, strombolian activity and ash emissions from the summit vent. Some great photos have been submitted into our image pool. Here's a time-lapse video of today's activity:

Karymsky (Kamchatka): Strombolian activity continues. Occasionally, such as yesterday, stronger explosions produce ash plumes detected on satellite data, reaching an estimated 6,000 ft (1.8 km) altitude.

Batu Tara (Sunda Islands, Indonesia): Explosions have produced ash plumes reaching 7,000 ft (2.1 km) altitude over the past days again.

Tangkubanparahu (West Java): Another phreatic explosion happened 7 Oct morning at 07:02 am WIB (local time).

Nevado del Ruiz (Colombia): An earthquake swarm affected the volcano on 7 Oct, including a volcanic-tectonic quake of magnitude 2.7 at 3.2 km depth northeast of the Arenas crater. This could indicate that new magma has been rising into the shallow volcano's conduit, which might (or not) lead to new eruptive activity.

Cumbal (Colombia): No significant changes occurred during the past months. Seismic activity remains above background. The latest significant event was a shallow (and felt) mag 2.1 quake at 14 km distance from the summit on 6 Oct.

Sotará (Colombia): Seismic activity remains slightly elevated, with no significant changes over the past months, and INGEOMINAS keeps alert level yellow.
