Wildlife Has Started Thriving Inside The Chernobyl Exclusion Zone

The name itself conjures up images like the one below; pictures of desolate, abandoned and eerie landscapes devoid of any sort of life whatsoever.

The area surrounding the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant has indeed been devoid of at least one type of life – human – since 1986, when the famous Chernobyl disaster that killed 31 people and rendered the 1,000 square miles surrounding the region unfit for human life took place.

But in the absence of human life, other types of wildlife have been popping up…
