Look at your ego and Create your Freedom
by GLR Andrea Gosserand-Green
Well all of us have challenges, do we not? Sometimes others lie about us, and oh yes, we lie right back. We love the feel of power! When a person plays out their ego, they like to attack anothers credibility for mulitiple reasons, biggest excuse is ego. If one does not handle his emotions well, they can find themselves feeding their ego. Remember the story of the Two Wolves, the one you feed wins.
What one percieves is only a facet of what really is, because from every perspective another will tell a different story and when stories clash, you get opposition. Folks are never going to see eye to eye, we are all different. For ones strength may be anothers weakness, which is created for spiritual growth. It is never wise to return hurt for hurt, it just stirs the fire which is a recipe for war, just look at history.
Sometimes folks who challenge us give us opportunities to know ourselves better, such as our boundaries, comfort zones, etc, and we get to choose whether we want to keep them or expand on them. We must consider our positions and articulate why we have them when another person challenges us. We may get confused or tested, or these folks can shed some light on our own boundaries and comfort zones, so to speak. These challenging people might make us feel frustrated, confused or tested at times, yet we get to consider our positions and comprehend why we hold them. These challenging folks may, on the other hand, leave us feeling strong, exhilarated, or wider awake. The choice is ours, and ours alone.
Ego is a very self-deluded thing that puts up a good fight to the end. If you continue to stay in the battle, hardship happens. Ego is not a bad thing in and of itself. It’s the purpose for which it is desired and used that makes it far more one than the other. "What and who does it serve?", you may ask yourself. When it draws on itself, it does not serve us well. Desiring control is a battle against the love energy and sustains in darkness away from the light. When you operate from ego, you also percieve from an ego position, which is fear based and unclear.
It rarely leads to a productive end when you are being challenged by some one and take it on negatively, feeding into ones own ego. We can obtain the pushes we need to understand new perspectives so that the outcome is on a positive note. Challenges are opportunities which offer new appreciations from another’s perspective, and we can gain new insight and clearer vision when confronted with a challenge .
When you find yourself here, evaluate ones self, what you choose to do can have a ripple effect. Do not feed your anger, you can choose to be simply be nice and address it on a positive note. Ask yourself, 'why am I upset?', 'what did the other do to make me feel justified in my own feeling?' Offer only facts and truth in love regarding any negative situation, so it can be evaluated thoroughly. In all challenging situations it is best to keep the peace. When someone is in a place of authority and misuses it, the other can still use positive tact about dealing with such a thing, without making personal attacks or playing the blame game. Just be honest concerning your own error, admit your faults and what you should have done to make the outcome better. If one tries to control you and tells you to “jump”, you do not have to respond, “how high”. Evil prevails when good people do nothing to, address it in kindness. Consider Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, Master Jesus, and Buddha who beaconed the use of higher advice in prayer and meditation. These men stood for honor and love in the universal way. Never forget the vast powers or extremities of the Heavens, it is set in place for our benefit and is always available.
