(editor's note: Today I bring you some preventions and treatments for bacterial infections.
In time, the science of light and sound will advance so that we can update our medical centers, similar to those used on our Healing Ships.
Awakening within us all is the ability to completely heal ourselves.
As our bodies evolve from carbon-based to a crystalline-based structure, we must all learn how to properly nourish and treat our physical body.
Through this "Natural Remedies" segment I hope to introduce you to methods of healing you may not have tried, as well as building your knowledge base so you can help others.

Siberian ginseng
You can buy a ginseng preparation (eleutherococcus) at a health food store. Take it as directed for three weeks in the spring and fall before the "cold season" to strengthen your immunity. If you can't find ginseng, echinacia will have a similar effect on the body.
Garlic
Garlic is effective against infections of the upper respiratory tract, lungs and stomach. Take 20 drops of the tincure about an hour before meals three times a day. It has an antibacterial, detoxifying and blood-purifying effect. You can also take garlic capsules or just include lots of fresh garlic in your diet.
Bearberry leaves
The dark green leaves of the bearberry plant are an effective disinfectant for the urinary tract. Boil 1 Tbsp of bearberry leaves in 2 cups of water for at least 20 minutes to release the active ingredient arbutin. Add 1/2 tsp of fennel during the last five minutes of boiling. Drink three glasses daily.
Blood-purifying tea
This is great to detoxify your body if you're experiencing frequent bacterial infections:
3/4 oz. Oregon grape root
3/4 oz. dandelion root
3/4 oz. alder buckthorn bark
3/4 oz. senna leaves
3/4 oz. rose hips
3/4 oz. anise fruit
Pour 3 cups of water over 3 tsp of the mixture and gently simmer for 10 minutes. Steep for 10 minutes longer then strain. Drink 3 cups a day for 1 month.
Plant-based antibiotics
Many plants contain substances that kill a number of different types of bacteria or inhibit their reporduction. They have few or no side effects, are not harmful to intestinal bacteria and can be taken for prolonged periods. They also do not promote the growth of resistant strains of bacteria.
Tea tree oil - has a high content of terpenes and eucalyptol which gives it the antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal effects.
Horseradish and nasturtium - the mustard oils in these plants make them good treatments for sinus infections and upper respiratory congestion.
Grapefruit-seed extract - depends on its flavonoids for its antifungal effects. Especially effective in mouth and throat infections.
