I Smile
So yeah, I smile to myself a lot, for in this vessel, in the short space of my time, i feel I’ve packed the life of ten men, laughed like crashing waves, fleshed out my soul through arches of arts, loved to the heights of God’s eyes, breathed the thunder of dragons, cheated death and all his devils on more than a few yellow moons, shed the tears of a 1000 fallen spirits, grabbed and gripped to shreds that pulled me on through to rapturous arms that wrapped me up, pushed me down, stopped me and sat on me until I could stop myself… then turned me back the way I had come, from nothing, to return me back to nothing, and look to see my lighted eyes like i had not seen them before, to see my rooted beginnings as I hadn’t seen them before, the full diamond story etched in me seen as though I hadn’t ever known it at all. So, yeah, I smile to myself a lot, and lift my eyes aloft, as if the passing skies will write to me what my next chapters could possibly be, as my father, mother, creator would see fit to dictate over a pink and grey afternoon… and we’ll take neat, sweet time, because we don’t rush for worry of anything anymore. -BDF
Finally, I would like to share something that Brent wrote to me in an email the other day. It touched me deeply and I cried *tears of joy.* I AM so honored to be One with Brent and I AM so grateful that he has brought his LIGHT to our re-uniting Family.
"The way i like to use words and music is to express a particular vision of humanhood/spirithood in all of our highest and even human-est aspects, that our human condition and spirit conditions reveal truth, and our raised awareness and compassion, as seen in our creations and living stories, and co-constructions, we get to become more and more free and offer praise in all things, and the beautiful poignant paradox of the ALL. at best the brush strokes of behavior in acting may reveal a similar essence of our truths in existence, but anyway, blah, blah, the point is, with much of it i have felt, due to certain circumstances real or imagined, my central messages have sought a home with those of like mind, but not found it in FULLNESS, and your introduction of this idea gives me a sense that a marriage of sensibilities in listener, messenger, shared visions, common truths, etc. may be allowed to occur just a little bit more. i value this soooooo much. thank you, you are an angel."
