Big Story Weather from April 8: The big news from yesterday was the arrival of the monster snow storm in the Rockies and Northern Plains as places already started measuring snowfall in the feet through the Rockies. This will continue today along with some severe weather that setup from Nebraska to Texas.
Big Story Weather Discussion for April 9: Low pressure moving out over the Northeast will bring a few showers to Maine. Low pressure moving into the Oklahoma panhandle today will be the big story with severe weather expected from Texas to Arkansas and blizzard conditions from Colorado to South Dakota. Places in this area will see snowfall totals in the 1-2 ft range with some places event getting near 30 inches of snowfall. High pressure building in over the Northern Rockies will provide more cold air to the region. A nice day forecasted for the West Coast.
