Big Story Weather from April 17: Severe weather and blizzard conditions topped the weather yesterday. There were several heavy snowfall reports from Colorado into the Dakotas and severe weather with tornados from Oklahoma all the way into Illinois. Many places saw heavy rainfall and large hail as well.
Big Story Weather Discussion for April 18: Low pressure moving through Illinois will bring showers and thunderstorms to the region. These thunderstorms will extend all the way to the Gulf Coast. Expect to see a large area of severe weather in this region today. Snow will be falling on the northwest side of the storm with places in the Dakotas and Minnesota getting anywhere from three to six inches and heavier amounts are possible. A nice day is in store for the Southwest and parts of the West Coast.
