A tornado touched down in the town of Mansfield, Ga., at about 1 p.m. EDT Friday.
"The storms moved through at the time of the tornado, there was one half to an inch of rain with some areas locally seeing higher amounts," AccuWeather Meteorologist Erik Pindrock said. "At the nearest observation site 45-50 miles away, a 54 mph wind gust was recorded."
