Big Story Weather from April 26-28: This past weekend severe weather hit the South. Places in Tennessee dealt with severe weather. The severe weather hit Houston Texas really hard with large hail and rainfall rates of over six inches in some places leading to major flooding in the region. Heavy rainfall also spread across portions of the Gulf Coast.

Big Story Weather Discussion for April 29: Low pressure moving along the Mid-Atlantic with the trailing cold front will bring showers to the Southeast and even thunderstorms to Florida ahead of the cold front. A stationary boundary over the Gulf Coast will bring showers to the region today. A new developing low pressure area over Oklahoma will bring a few more showers to parts of Texas. High pressure over the Central Rockies will bring nice weather to the region. This will extend eastward into the Northern Plains. Another storm system moving out of the Northern Rockies will bring showers to Montana and back into Washington.
