One World Rising July 23, 2013
GFP Commentary: The author talks about having the ego in control. Ego is unconsciousness and pops in when it feels threatened. Awareness of when we are experiencing the ego and then releasing the ego and coming back to love is becoming who we really are and loving ourselves.

Life is best lived if we take the time and make the effort to follow the guide lines of the three R’s. Have Respect for yourself, Respect for all others and be Responsible for your actions. To live life by the three R’s is to live your life in harmony with the earth. Let’s take the first R and delve into it. Have respect for yourself. Do you think much about this? I think it could be an area where many fall short simply because we are not living the lives we desire. It all begins with knowing ourselves, knowing our likes and dislikes and what our priorities are. How can you possibly live a fulfilling life if you don’t know who you are and what you want? Once you get to know yourself, then it is time to set out on a journey to live that life you desire. Living life to the fullest not only entails living the life you want, but living that life to the best of your ability and with purpose, putting a moral structure in place to live up that speaks to who you are and to what matters to you. If we try our hardest, set up solid morals to live up to and live from our hearts, we can’t help but respect ourselves and like who we are. If we fashion our lives after the three R’s we can’t go wrong. The whole world needs a solid dose of the three R’s!
The second R is obviously Respect all others! The world is sorely lacking in Respect, for if we had it, we would not see all the immoral behavior being expressed today. To truly respect another is to allow that person the freedom to live their life as they choose and to not interfere or try to force them to live by your standards, as long as the three R’s are being adhered to. We should be free to live exactly as we wish as long as how we live does not hurt anyone else or infringe upon their lives. Part of allowing others this freedom entails having our egos and judgments under control. Had George Zimmerman lived by the three R’s, Trayvon Martin would still be alive today. A classic example of someone elses judgment gone awry. There is no place for judging others in the new world we are creating! To judge another is to not respect them and to try to force them to see the world as you do.
The third R we need to live by is to be Responsible for our actions. If we are responsible for what we do and say we are aware and tend to think more closely about what we do or say. If we err in our choices we must be willing to come forward and admit our mistakes, apologize and make the appropriate changes necessary to right that wrong. If we have our egos under control being responsible for our actions is not difficult, but Egos are a huge problem running loose in the world today. Everybody is thinking a certain way and demanding others see things their way as well, they do not have the strength and fortitude to say I’m sorry, They feel the world owes them something when in fact it is we who owe ourselves and nobody else. Egos have taken us to war, time and time again, they have allowed us to continue to falsely see ourselves as better than someone else and in doing so, racial divide was created, we look down on others or see ourselves only as being above others instead of seeing ourselves together as ONE!
We have a long way to go in this world to become as one. There is still a massive divide in people’s ego controlled minds and it will take a great deal of work to get beyond it. Each and every one of us is working hard to release what we no longer want to be a part of our lives, but there are many out there still trapped in this small mind thinking. We are gaining ground slowly though and all we can really do is be an example for the others. I am encouraged by what is taking place over this Zimmerman/Martin incident. Two or three years ago the streets would be erupting in chaos, but people know better now. They are marching in solidarity with Trayvon, in a peaceful showing of what is wrong in our judicial system. The dialog going on now is often centered around oneness and how we can achieve that. We are moving forward, perhaps only a step or two at a time, but we are moving and eventually we will get there! We just need to live our lives by the three R’s!
Blessings to us all,
