Healing the Mind, how to change belief systems that are keeping you from happiness and fulfilment

HJ: Our beliefs are, in a sense, the final frontier that stands between where we are and where we want to be.  Most people make the mistake of focusing on trying to control their thoughts, which, like a dog chasing its tail, is an endless charade that ultimately leaves one right where they started and furthermore exhausted and frustrated.  The real work lies in removing and changing limiting beliefs into those that are supportive of greater happiness and fulfillment.  In order to do this, one must first identify their limiting beliefs, which are typically operating just beyond the sphere of conscious awareness.  This is where thoughts have their true power, as they are simply the natural expression of our belief systems.  Therefore, they can be ‘traced back’ by the mindful person to reveal the underlying belief structure that gave rise to them.  In this way, we can identify our beliefs and determine if they are keeping us from happiness and greater fulfillment and if so, work to change them into expansive, abundant, life affirming paradigms that allow us to experience our highest potential.  This is the key to higher awareness and the point at which we begin to truly create our reality consciously — as within, so without.
