Meteor shower: The peak of the annual Perseid meteor shower can be viewed tonight between 3 and 5am
The intergalactic equivalent of a rainstorm will be viewable across the night sky tonight with the the heaviest 'downpour' between 3 and 5am.
The annual Perseid meteor shower will be best viewed in the Northern Hemisphere, but almost everyone will be able to see it after dark except those in parts of Australia and Antarctica.
If you live in a city, it might be best to drive out to the country where there is less light pollution.
