Many people by now are well aware that 1947 was a pivotal year in the history of mankind in as much as proof of extraterrestrial contact was made. As a result of that contact an inflexion in human events occurred as an entire security state emerged with the government being forced to conceal and mitigate a forbidden truth that could have caused conventional institutions in our society to collapse. The preservation of basic human beliefs was at stake as far as authorities were concerned.

Yet, few people are aware that there was a growing presence of aerial sightings being reported prior to the Roswell incident in 1947 or the Kenneth Arnold sighting in Washington State. The number of sightings that were attracting public attention were growing to a fever pitch, and the Roswell incident became the culmination of a growing hysteria among people who sensed that something earth shattering was afoot and about to blow open any time.

Up to 2,500 Bohemian Club members and their guests will attend the all-male encampment that opened Thursday and runs through July 28, all in complete secrecy behind the gates of the San Francisco-based club's 2,700-acre enclave along the Russian River.

O'Brien's topic — “Success, Failure in Surviving the Media Revolution” — sounds a bit more serious than his patter on the NBC show or his current show, “Conan” on TBS.

Every July, the other Boys of Summer—rich and powerful movers and shakers from around the world—gather in the woods at Bohemian Grove in California for two weeks of fun, frolic and social networking.

Members of the all-male, mostly white San Francisco-based Bohemian Club and their guests fly into Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport on private jets to partake in the festivities, which include music, plays, pageantry and networking with other global elites at elaborate campsites in Monte Rio along the Russian River in Northern California. This year’s party has just begun with featured speakers Conan O’Brien and retired Army General Stanley McChrystal.
