The municipality said the protesters numbered 15,000, but organizers estimated some 23,000 attended the mass protest at the start of the four-day demonstration.

The protesters called for the resignation of the government led by Prime Minister Donald Tusk, whose term will expire in 2015.

The administration of US President Barack Obama shares with Israel the raw intelligence data vacuumed up by country’s National Intelligence Agency without even taking out the information about the American public and even government officials, according to a newly-leaked document.


A copy of a top secret agreement, signed in 2009 and provided by the American whistleblower Edward Snowden, shows that the NSA “routinely” passes to its Israeli counterpart, the Israeli Signals-intelligence National Unit (ISNU), the vast digital data it gathers under secret court authority from US Internet providers.

Both McCain and Kerry pointed to O’Bagy’s views as their best evidence that the militants’ attempt to overthrow President Bashar al-Assad is not rife with al Qaeda-linked extremists. 

Elizabeth O’Bagy, who had claimed to be the think tank’s Syria expert, did not have a doctorate from Georgetown University, and had links with militants in Syria, according to media reports.

Circuit judge Jay Bybee said: "Even if it is commonplace for members of the general public to connect to a neighbour's unencrypted wi-fi network, members of the public do not typically mistakenly intercept, store, and decode data transmitted by other devices on the network."

"The court made clear that federal privacy law applies to residential wi-fi networks," said Marc Rotenburg, executive director of the Electronic Privacy Information Center.

Calling it the "first observation of mechanical gearing in a biological structure," the scientists said the discovery shows gear mechanisms previously thought to be solely man-made have an evolutionary precedent.

The gears in the Issus hind-leg bear remarkable engineering resemblance to those found on bicycles and inside car transmissions, they said.
