Today's GFP original is "Duality and Polarity - There's a Big Difference":

One of these is essential to the way the physical realm works, the other is nothing more than a two-dimensional belief system. Some people use the terms duality and polarity interchangeably, but I'm going to make a strong distinction between the two for the sake of clarity.

The first thing to understand about duality is that it divides, it's either one thing or the other. Black or white, right or wrong, good or evil. It does this through judgement, separating things and creating conflict. Duality is how human beings, who have much more in common than not, are convinced to fight with and even kill each other. Duality is used to create an "us versus them" mentality.

Now polarity is something else entirely. Where duality has a positive and negative that conflict with each other, polarity has a positive and negative that attract each other. In the case of what recently happened with our Sun's poles, they can even switch places. Polarity is complimentary forces that work together to create balance, duality is the belief in opposing forces that conflict with each other and create chaos.

Here at the Galactic Free Press we discourage both leaders and followers. Who can really teach you to be yourself? You can't find that in another person, they'll teach you to be like they are. There's something very Unique and Beautiful within you, and it's ultimately up to you to discover, create and express that. Following someone else is not the way you get there.

There's many spiritual groups where very unhealthy relationships have developed between the leaders and the followers. It's easy to blame this on controlling leaders, but the followers too bear some responsibility. They influence the leaders in more subtle ways, and actually help to steer their leader where they want their leader to go. The leader controls the followers, and the followers control the leader too, creating a very co-dependent relationship.

We often tell people to listen to their Heart, and really listening to the feelings of the Heart instead of all the thoughts in the mind is the key to rediscovering the Divine. However, people are so mind-oriented that this can be very difficult and confusing at first. There's a common pitfall here, and that's trying to use your Heart in the same way you use your mind.

People talk about asking their Heart something, and there's a subtle illusion that is promoted through this. If you're asking your Heart something, if you see it that way, what is the "you" that is doing the asking? It's the mind asking the Heart, you're taking the perspective of the mind to try and get information from your Heart.

We see this fairly often, a person goes through an intense spiritual or transcendent experience, and afterwards they begin having some very strange things happen to them. They may start having sensations of intense heat or energy flowing through their body. They may start hearing tones, often very high-pitched. Their body may begin to feel like it's vibrating, or they may feel pressure in their forehead. It's common for people to believe they're going insane or even dying when this stuff starts to happen, but don't worry, all this is actually quite normal for a being who has chosen to raise their Consciousness, and it's called Kundalini activation.

Now the term Kundalini itself is tied up with the various Hindu religions and also a number of Western mystery schools. As such, there's a lot of conflicting beliefs about Kundalini and a lot of people who will tell you the "right" and "wrong" ways of going about it. I'm going to steer clear of all that stuff as much as possible, and simply share what I can confirm from my own experiences.

When "respecting" beliefs, you'll often have to make this choice: Do you lie or tell half-truths to "respect" what people believe, or do you tell the truth and respect the Being within? Which is greater respect, treating someone like they're strong enough to handle the truth, or treating someone like they're too weak to handle the truth? Which one? One is a fake respect that honors the ego, the other is true respect that honors the Divine within every human being.
