One couple is paying tribute to the amazing work of therapy and service dogs in a 2013 calendar.
Titled 'Rescued Heroes,' the calendar features 11 dogs who were rescued -- via adoption or by sheer luck -- and now work as therapy dogs, providing service and comfort to people in need. On the cover is Fitz, a service dog for an Iraq veteran with PTSD.
"We were so impressed with the way service dogs can help veterans manage their 'invisible wounds' and get their lives back," creator Lynn Sansale told The Huffington Post.

According to latest Joint Typhoon Warning Center (JTWC) report, Tropical Cyclone 04A is located approximately 280 nm south of Cape Guardafui, Somalia, and is moving southwestward at 12 knots over the past six hours. Animated multispectral satellite imagery shows a fully exposed low-level circulation center (LLCC) with a lack of deep convection. Dry continental air is being pulled into the system.

The system will continue to weaken below warning threshold of 35 knots in the next 12 hours as it tracks southwestward due to the unfavorable environment.
Tropical Depression Quinta continued to move west at 24 kph and is expected to bring rains to Northern Palawan, PAGASA said Wednesday afternoon.
The state weather agency also said in its Twitter account that Quinta will make its last landfall in Coron, Palawan, on Wednesday night, between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m.

As most people tuck into their Christmas dinner, Jan and Graham Garen will be too busy to feast on turkey - they will be feeding around 80 hungry apes and monkeys.
Christmas Day will be business as usual for the husband and wife team who 14 years ago took in seven chimpanzees that nobody wanted when the Penscynor Wildlife Park near Neath closed.
As a teacher and engineer they had no experience of looking after primates, but they could not bear the thought of the chimps being shot, which would have been their fate.
