Serapis Bey, an ascended master associated with Luxor in Egypt, who holds open the Temple doors on the etheric level, and is one of the great teachers of ascension on the planet. Serapis Bey originally came from Venus and is the Keeper of the White flame. He works with Archangel Chamuel on the ray of compassion and is the only Ascended Master who works with the Seraphim.

He has an ascension seat Luxor. In past incarnations he was a priest in Atlantis and was the Pharaoh Akhenaton !V and also Amenophis. He is the master of the third ray, the yellow ray of active, creative intelligence, helping to bring perfection, focus and independence to artists, musicians, peacemakers, philosophers and metaphysicians.

Embodied as:

✡ Serapis was embodied as a high priest in the Ascension Temple on Atlantis who migrated to Egypt at the time of the destruction of Atlantis more than 11,500 years ago.

✡ He was the Egyptian pharaoh Amenhotep III, c. 1417-1379 B.C. called "the Magnificent." He brought Egypt to its height of diplomatic prestige, prosperity and peace. His extensive building of monuments, palaces and temples included construction of the temple of Luxor, which was built to correspond to the outline of the human skeletal framework. Careful studies of its architecture have revealed that the entire temple explains many secret functions of the organs and nerve centers. While in embodiment in Egypt as Akhenaton IV and Amenophis III he built the Temples at Thebes and at Karnak.

✡ Serapis was also embodied as Leonidas, king of Sparta. In 480 B.C., with only three hundred soldiers, he resisted the advance of Xerxes' vast Persian army in a Herculean effort at Thermopylae. Though finally defeated, their fight to the last man is celebrated in literature as the epitome of heroism in the face of overwhelming odds, and it inspired the Greek people to resist invasion, and cleared the way for the classical "Golden Age" of Greece.

✡ After being killed as Leonidas in the battle of Thermopylae, Serapis immediately re-embodied as Phidias (c.480 B.C. - c.430 B.C.), the greatest of all classical Greek architects and sculptors. He brought forth the design of the Parthenon and supervised the building of it (dedicated in 438 B.C.)

✡ Serapis Bey reportedly Ascended in about 400 B.C. In the nineteenth century, Serapis Bey worked closely with El Morya, Kuthumi, Hilarion and other Masters to found the Theosophical Society. A series of letters from Serapis to Olcott encouraging him to support Blavatsky in the founding of The Theosophical Society were published in the book Letters from the Masters of the Wisdom.

Retreat:

Hierarch of the Retreat of the Ascension Flame at Luxor, Egypt. The etheric retreat is congruent with the ruins of a magnificent building and courtyard built by Ramses II in Luxor, and with a pyramid a few miles away. The retreat of Luxor is known for intense disciplines that mark the death of the human ego to prepare the lifestream for permanent reunion with God.

In the upper room of the pyramid is the king’s chamber, where students experience the initiations of the transfiguration and the resurrection. The ascension flame in the Ascension Temple was carried by Serapis Bey from Atlantis before the sinking of that continent. Here, the Council of Adepts conduct the last judgment of candidates for the ascension. Only after all initiations are passed does a candidate enter the flame room for the ascension ritual.

At the given time, the candidate’s cosmic tone is sounded and the flame of Alpha descends from the ceiling while the flame of Omega rises from the floor. As the lifestream begins to ascend, seraphim trumpet the most beautiful rendition of the Triumphal March, which was captured by Verdi in the opera, Aida.

"The Ascension is an inevitable part of the Divine System. It consists of these initiations: the Transfiguration into the Divine Configuration, the ritual of Crucifixion upon the cross of Matter, the Resurrection from dead substance, and, at last, that of the Ascension Flame Itself which raises man out of the domain of his recalcitrant energies and all treacherous activities, mortal imperfection and error. The Ascension is the beginning of the Kingdom for each one . . . "
