The newest version of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) includes an amendment that would legalize the use of propaganda on the American public, reports Michael Hastings of BuzzFeed.
The amendment — proposed by Mac Thornberry (R-Texas) and Adam Smith (D-Wash.) and passed in the House last Friday afternoon — would effectively nullify the Smith-Mundt Act of 1948, which explicitly forbids information and psychological operations aimed at influencing U.S. public opinion.
Thornberry said that the current law “ties the hands of America’s diplomatic officials, military, and others by inhibiting our ability to effectively communicate in a credible way,” according to Buzzfeed.
The vote came two days after a federal judged ruled that a counter-terrorism provision in the annual defense bill was unconstitutional.

Disappointment
I'm sorry but I'm disappointed in this site for feeding into this Dis-info campaign and fear porn. Why are people still listening to the people that are twisting and perverting the facts!? Again You all should be ashamed for feeding into The Dark Ones game. Tisk Tisk.
What on Earth are you talking
What on Earth are you talking about? This isn't disinformation, it's the truth about what's happening within the US government. And which facts are being twisted and perverted? We're not feeding into their game, we're just not ignoring it.
Do you realize what you just did? You attempted to project a negative emotion onto us. I can point out exactly where that occured if you can't see it for yourself. Stuff like that is precisely what keeps "their" game going.
My Apologies
I apologize for the shame comment. That was uncalled for. I simply have a problem with this whole NDAA thing that was originally used to discredit and demonize the one man that most Lightworkers say is the one to lead us to the GoldenAge. Back when this whole NDAA crap was made public it was done with NEGATIVE INTENT or is it just me that got that. How can you say that by continuing to post stuff about this subject is positive or beneficial to anyone, Especially Our brothers and sisters. You see they aren't just YOUR brothers and sisters. They are EVERYONE'S brothers and sisters. My intent was not to promote ignorance is bliss, I was simply commenting on the fact that giving focus to anything that has at it's core NEGATIVE INTENT is continuing that intent whether or not that is the intent. That is how THEY designed it. Staying informed is great But use discernment PLEASE.
Oh I agree completely about
Oh I agree completely about the NDAA being used to smear Obama by people with little or no knowledge about how the US government actually works. He certainly didn't write it, and even if he'd of vetoed it, the veto would have be overwritten. Obama even did a line-item veto of the worst part of the NDAA, the indefinite detention of US citizens, yet that got ignored by most people and he's still blamed for being the person behind the NDAA.
It's too bad so many people foolishly associate Obama with the NDAA, but when the new version now allows the military to use propaganda on US citizens, people should know about that.
