On The 13-Moon Galactic Calendar, we are now in Moon 13 - the FINAL moon of this Year: The Cosmic Turtle Moon of Presence (always June 27 - July 24).

On this sacred time map, the Year is understood as a Spiral where each of the 13 Moons correspond to one of the 13 Tones of Creation. Moon 13 brings the focus of Tone 13: The Cosmic Tone of Presence, also invoking the key words: Endure and Transcend.

According to Dr. Jose Argüelles’ pioneering galactic time decodings, the window of time December 22, 2012 - July 25, 2013 is a precious time inbetween the Official Closing of the Cycle of History and the Launching of the Cycle of Planetary Regeneration and Renewal.

Known as "The 7 Mystic Moons," this time period is considered a germination period of the New World Age – an accelerated time of adjustment, assimilation and integration. This Cosmic Turtle Moon is the final 28-day cycle of this sacred transitional time, the 7th and final Mystic Moon.

According to Dr. Argüelles, July 26, 2013 is the official Opening of the New Era - initiating “Galactic Synchronization.” 7.26.13 will be the next 13-Moon New Year, "Yellow Galactic Seed," marking the start of a vast new cycle in which we may finally comprehend ourselves as creative members of a Galactic whole... The focus of the New Cycle that begins on the Galactic Seed New Year is Renewal on all levels... The Dawning of the Sixth Sun; The Fifth World of Peace; The Age of the Center; The Age of the Great Synthesis. While our collective challenges are still immense, and our future remains precarious - this precious New Era on Earth is The Time of The Great Arising and The Great Remembrance!

This Moon 13 is the final month of The Blue Resonant Storm Year (July 26, 2012 - July 25, 2013). This is a good time to honor all that this Year has brought to us personally and planetarily, especially as this Year led us to collectively cross the ancient threshold of Dec 21, 2012, and to now be venturing beyond into new realms... Let us close this year on a grand note, opening to generate the most positive energies and actions possible during this final Moon!

It's also powerful to be aware that the last 5 days of every year are an "End of the Year Purification Cycle," starting July 21, culminating on the Day out of Time July 25.

As the 13th Month, we are reminded that the journey always continues, always unfolding at higher and higher levels. We have now completed Moon 12 - The Crystal Rabbit Moon of Cooperation, and now we move on, into the energetic of Tone 13, and the Totem of Turtle. As Turtles generally have 13 scales on their shells, they symbolize the 13 moon cycles of every year. They also represent endurance, longevity, and the knowledge of pacing oneself in Natural Time. The Earth is often referred to as Turtle Island, swimming in the Cosmic Ocean. "Turtle is the oldest symbol for the Earth...To the Native Americans,Turtle is the symbol of the primal mother, associated with the lunar cycle, menstruation, and the power of the female energies."

Where Tone 12 called us to cooperate, dedicate, and welcome a coherent, crystalline order into our lives, Tone 13 calls us to Transcend and "Take Magic Flight!" Where 12 embodies the Circle, 13 embodies the Spiral. The Spiral is the fractal form that unifies the microcosm and macrocosm, from the snail shell to the Galaxy! 13 embodies the higher dimensional unifying force - the power of Universal Movement that beckons us to align with the ascending evolutionary power to rise above and voyage to new realms. This is the time to "Ride the Spiral!"

As the "Tone of Presence" this Cosmic Tone 13 calls us to commit ever-more deeply to learn how reside in The Now; to learn to be alert and attuned to the ever-changing Present Moment; to learn how to sensitize to the pulses each moment sends for us to Synchronize with its highest calling. Truly, life happens only in The Now. When we are in our linear, egoic-minds, and not present in the moment, we imagine a past and a future, and miss the subtle vast dimension our existence actually resides in. Rather than feeling and sensing from the fullness of our beingness, we create stories from our fragmented identities that create much stress and striving. Our spiritual heart naturally lives in the Present, therefore when we are awake and alert in the Now, dropping our concepts, we naturally access all the resources of our Hearts - compassion, courage and acceptance of what life is presenting. One of our deepest challenges as a modern humanity is to discipline ourselves to live in the Moment, and this is therefore a most empowering way we can each grow, and bring greater peace and wisdom into our shared world. Simply tuning into our Breath is the simplest, always available, way to re-oriente in the Now.

As the 13-Moon Galactic Calendar shares about Tone 13: "Presence bestows depths of feeling - intimate information and guidance held within the living intelligence of the moment. We commune with the vastness of self - the essence self that transcends all appearances of separation... By orienting in the present, as presence, we expand and feel our undeniable interrelations with all of life... Honoring life as an eternal, unfolding journey of Being..."

While the patriarchal spell of History rendered the power of 13 taboo, unlucky, and evil - 13 is actually the most sacred number to the Maya, and to many Indigenous Peoples. 13 represents the Power of Spirit, the highest heaven, the power of circulation, the sacred continuum, the interconnectedness of all, the power of the Divine Feminine, the moon cycles, etc. An essential step in regaining our connection to Natural, Cosmic Time is re-embracing the power of 13, for 12 is not the complete picture. Every year there are either 13 full or new moons each year! 13 is the key to Real Time. As Jose Arguelles wrote in Thirteen Moons in Motion: "Thirteen is the key to the Mayan galactic codes of fourth-dimensional time and to the annual lunation cycles by which Earth is guided in her solar path."
