Too many people already know the truth
Too many people already know the truth in that almost a full year before his "divinely directed resignation" and when word got to him that he would most likely be tried in the Tribunal for crimes against humanity, pediphile among other things, he privately resigned in an attempt to distance himself from his consequences and then made it "official" when it was "numerologicaly" correct. Later when he's in the big house, I hope they show some compassion and let him have his pope soap on a rope.
